U.S. opposes Palestinian admission to UN

The US says this and that, who the hell cares what the US says.

The title says "U.S. opposes Palestinian admission to UN" but is this really the case? Or is it the very influential Jewish Lobby Group in the US which is pressuring the US to oppose Palestinian admission to the UN?

And Obama knows he has to please American Jews to gain their votes in the upcuming election. What is it they say? You can't win an election in the US without the backing of the Jewish electorate?

I hope Palestine will get a majority for admission!

How come that this reasonable attitude of US officials doesn't show up when it comes to Kosovo?

As an American I do not support the position of the govt on Palestine. If Palestine is successful in this and the US is unable to stop it, that will pave the way for Kosovo to do the same without fear of Russia

For those who dont care what the US says I suggest you start paying the disproportionate amount that the US pays in dues and fees to support the UN and then your voice will be heard louder.If a majority of states vote for Palestine to join then so be it but lets not be fools and pretend that we dont know that in the real world money talks b------t walks.As far as the Jewish lobby it does what any other lobbying group such as the Arab or gun or gambling lobbies do it buys whore politicians to its cause

Negotiations? And when negotiations between Serbia and Kosovo did not yield any results (as Kosovo only wanted full independence) the US said: forget about it! We recognize you any way! Talking about double standards!

North and South Cyprus are negotiating for decades. Why not recoginze North Cyprus then?

Why not? The Palestinians actually don't have a State of their own, unlike the albanian's in Kosovo. Yup you guessed it's the country of Albania.
