"While Russia is the 'region' which is mainly responsible for the Serbian trade deficit."

Yes, it is most all natural gas. So Serbia should work on trying to get a significantly better price for natural gas, and/or use it more efficiently, and/or conserve better.

Its not Russia's fault they have most of the gas and oil that Serbia and Europe need. And you conveniently forgot (yet again) to mention that Serbia also has a trade deficit with the EU. Who's fault is that? Serbia's of course. Poor competitive economy, no entrepreneurial spirit, bloated bureaucracy, crumbling socialist infrastructure, etc.

Its no wonder CEFTA is the only market Serbia thrives, because its primarily made up of ex-Yugo countries which have bought Serbian products for decades and are familiar with these brands.

"The CEFTA region is a rare market where Serbia's economy - overall plagued by a trade deficit - continues to report positive results."

While Russia is the 'region' which is mainly responsible for the Serbian trade deficit.
