Novi Sad Mayor Igor Pavličić has accused the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) and its partners of trying to take the power in the city by force.

“They are only doing it so the parties that rule on the republic level could take over the power and share the winnings. Well, you cannot take the power by force. What’s the point of the election then,” the Novi Sad mayor stressed.
I would suggest a new system in Serbia: There are only state level elections, and the party/coalition that wins can put their stooges to government structures on lower levels (provinces, cities, municipalities). Hmm, let me think, I just noticed this wouldn't be a new system in Serbia of nowadays.
