Kosovo policy needs to be clear, LDP leader says

Thank you, this is exactly what serbia needs more of... C. Jovanovic's is the type of politician that realizes what needs to be done! More Serbian politicians like him need to Start coming out.. He knows, That there is but 1 path to be followed in order for Serbia to start making real positive progress.. That path, is for Serbia to finally come to terms that Kosova is indeed a independent country & Serbia needs to start treating Kosova as a independent country! C. Jovanovic also knows, that Unless Serbia takes this important first step of normalizing relations with Kosova, things in Serbia are going to get worse with the economy, unemployment, inflation, etc. He also knows very well that there is no way in hell, that Serbia can ever again obtain power or influence, over Kosova & it's population!! So to put it bluntly, until u see more Serbian politicians come to their senses & realize & accept that Kosova has indeed been lost for some time now, you will continue to see a Serbia struggling with the real problems plaqueing Serbian everyday life!

I think this politico as you put it is looking long term. He sees that Serbia can do better if it looks for a win win situation rather than a I'm a victim of the world and I should lie to my people of what the EU requires of Serbia. No politician to date has been able to speak the truth about the situation and the real problems of Serbia.

This politician sees what it has cost the country and what it will cost if the govt. doesn't come to terms. It will eventually have to swallow the pill and it will not like it.

Tadic said it best when he wanted 20 years with his more than autonomy but not independence. It's been 10 years and much of the rhetoric has simmered down, and in 10 years time both will shake hands and part ways on an official basis.

Every week or so, this bumbling politico comes out and makes a meaningless statement. What a way to make a great living, all the while enriching himself and close ones. Well, you have to hand it to him, he ws able to pay the Serbian system well.

I think that LDP which is not a part of government, shouldn't talk about their politics about Kosovo. Real situation can know only the members of new government so I think that they are just jelaous on SPS i SNS. LDP is forcing untruth stories...

It is clear. Never accept secession. Pretend to negotiate with the KLA while agreeing to nothing of relevance. Do everything to strengthen Serbian institutions in K&M. Do everything to sabotage KLA interests internationally. Rebuild the army in anticipation of eventual military action to reestablish lawful authority in the southern province. Not very complicated.

Dreaming of usurping Kosovo by force are illusions of the ultranationalistst. This politician is basically stating indirectly that more could be done for "the citizens" by looking to milk the Kosovan Constitution (based on the Ahtisaari Package).


Think about it. Fighting to maximize Serbian rights in all of the Balkan states is patriotic. That's my $0.02.
