“Forming of new local ruling majorities to continue”

Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) deputy leader Žarko Obradović has stated that reorganization of authorities in local self-governments will continue.

Olli, you may not like it, but it is entirely democratic. Unless a single party won an out right majority, the ruling structure can be subject to change at any moment. Besides, its not like voters choose which parties should form a coalition and with whom, only the parties themselves can do that.

And by the way the DS did the exact same thing 4 years ago... did you protest then as well?

“The local authorities need to be made of parties that make the government on the republic level,” Obradović explained.

Very rarely have I heard stupidities like that. If these arrangements take place it proves that local assemblies have no power on municipal issues. Plus this questions the issue of democracy in Serbia. If political parties brake agreements like SPS does now, there cannot be and there will not be trust between parties. And without trust democracy cannot function. To put this shortly.

SPS sells itself to a lowest price, just for thirst of power. Already now we can see what kind of politics they will do. And Serbia will dive in deep.
