I know it's normal for you people to make jokes of thievery as you seem to think that this is normal practise. Wasn't it the albanians who tried to nick George W Bush's watch when he came a visiting while shaking the hand of some albanian would be thief, yes course it was. He's lucky he got away with his hand, it would probably have been sold for a transplant. Anything to make a dollar apart from an honest day's work, how sad is that.

I simply share the same concerns that Americans & Isrealies do regarding the safety of my country from radical Islamic terrorists trying to destabilize it. When its someone else its okay. When its a Serb who has a legitimate claim he is racist...double standards.

And considering most of Albanian inhabited Kosovo is devoid of trees for some reason or another, a few of these tree poachers need to raid Serb territory for the goods. A pity all that international donor money propping this damn thing up never goes to plant trees, let alone purchase timber :)

Go to any Western European country and ask the people who are the criminals from Eastern Europe. even in the great free land of the usa it wasn't all that long ago that one only need run for the border to escape your own state police. furthermore, american and canadian police can now chase people into the neighbouring country. so what can you make of that?
the only thing allowing or preventing police forces to leave their juristiction is an agreement of various juristictions or lack of one.
clearly there is no agreement between these juristictions. this lack of agreement implies nothing of what sort of borderline it is, county, region, province, state, country or union.

Mr Bush's visit to Albania sparked a lot of speculations that his watch was stolen and so on. If his watch was stolen, than how come he got it back? Second, he was not advised to take it off because it can be stolen, but because of the crowd of people who wanted to reach him and greet him, it is obvious in a shootage that he took it off by himself and did not wait for anyone's advise, he took it off because clearly didn't feel comfortable, that's why.
Going back to the subject, OK, everywhere in the world you have thieves and criminality, and comparing Kosovo with other countries percentage, Kosovo (considering the short period after the war ended and in what has gone through) and taking into account the high percentage of unemployment, Kosovo is for merits and not for criticism.
