We told our descendents the Swedes we could not afford them and they said for you our close relatives were giving away free here they are in Croatia [link] .

Leanrd you have a too tight a Gripen when you say “….our descendents the Swedes we could not afford them and they said for you our close relatives”. If they are descended from Croats then the Chinese are from Mars.
Please take your pills.

Taxes in Sweden are extremly high. To prevent some of the bigger companies from leaving the country they are often exempt from paying certain taxes. If not for this they would move their manufacturing to other countries. It's as simple as that. However, even with this rule many companies decide to move non the less since the profit in, for example Poland, is so much greater. Another reason is that the swedish workforce have become spoiled. Calling in sick every other day for apparant reason. While people in many eastern european countries are so happy to have a jobb that they work their ass off.

why is the Serbian state subsidizing this private, foreign company?
(Danilo, 30 August 2012 12:10)
All countries subsidise large manufacturing because they employ large numbers of people plus in times of war production turns from civilian to military.
The US does it with Toyota, Nissan, Ford, GM etc, and Australia with Ford, Holden (GM), Toyota, Nissan, and Mitsubishi etc.
