It sounds pretty simple. Serbia sends a request to the EU and the EU forwards it to Prishtina. Prishtina makes a decision and sends it back the way it came (threw EULEX) EULEX is just the messenger when it comes to Serbian government officials entering Kosovo. The bottom line, whether you agree with it or not, is that the Serbian government needs permission from Prishtina to enter Kosovo. This gives more credibility to Kosovo's claim to sovereignty.

Ian, you seem to read a lot of Serbian "propaganda". I checked out New Kosova Report a couple of times and decided it wasn't for me for the same opinion you have of Serbian sites. Difference is that I don't go there at all but you come here day after day and so obviously Serbianna. Question is why. If you think so little of Serbian sites why do you go on them?
Could it be that you actually have respect for them?

You are obsessed with Serbs. All our neighbors are either you love us or hate us but its still an obsession. Otherwise you wouldn't come on a Serbian forum day after day.

Every day you're in here running your mouth about Kosova. Mainly about Albanians, talk about being obsessed lol. You might want to listen to yourself. Serbs are obsessed with everyone, Albanians, Bosnians, and Croatians. Serbs have not moved on not even a bit from the 90's Serbs in general, whether they're government officials or ordinary citizens, they still talk about the game plan they had 20 years ago. The fact that they failed to do so, it hurts them really badly. Deep down Serbs in general are aching from the bottom of their hearts when they know they could have done anything better to keep control of former Yugoslavia. Instead they made a decision which will haunt them for centuries to come. Look at the facts Ari Gold. Where was Serbia 22 Years ago and where it is today?
I hope you're not just a kid running your mouth based on what you have heard from your parents. I suggest you read about Yugoslavia's past, and stop embarrassing yourself in here day after day.

Why don't we tweek your message a little and see how truthful it is
There can never be a common future with people who stole and destroyed Albanian homes, the entire reason for international intervention in Kosovo. But that is water under the bridge to you and Albanians should over look that close to million of them had been displaced and when they came home nothing was there anything that could be stolen was and if they had 4 walls left they were lucky. But that is the past and they should hug their Serbian brother and forgive them for their crimes.
However there will never be forgiveness for any crime that Albanians have committed against the Serbs, even if these are individual acts and not orchestrated by the govt, and the numbers are minute in comparison.
In which case I guess you are right, until both sides can understand thebrutality that some have committed there will never be any common ground.
Kfor is following the law of 1244, not Pristina, a huge lesson as what 1244 says and actually covers is long overdue for the Serbs, andespecially commentors here.

Still today albanians are taking over serb homes, or at best, offering them pocket change for their houses and land. You have not solved one case of a murdered serbs. The comment regarding the alleged "6,000 Albanian rape victims" is another low in this ethnic disinformation campaign. Also stating that "one million Albanians were cleansed—the largest ethnic cleansing in history" has been proven to be a fabrication. The facts speak for themselves, that 90,000 Kosovo Albanians fled to Belgrade... into the arms of their enemy? Or that 250,000 fled to Serb dominated areas of Montenegro with a similar amount fleeing into Macedonia. Omitted from this comment is any mention that Prime Minister Hashim Tachi and his KLA troops were forcing Albanians to flee before CNN camera crews. These Albanians returned to their homes and villages 30 days later when the war ended. So this entire "cleansing" was a media fabricated ruse. The idea that 3,500 Serbian troops could cleanse one million Albanians in 30 days is a stretch of the imagination even for this brand of propaganda. The same kind of disinformation implied that Serbs raped "60,000 Bosnian Muslim women" which turned out to be another media fabrication. Now 6,000 Albanians rape victims? No mention is made here that the Serbian population represented 22% of Kosovo 20 years ago, it now represents less than 3%.

No reference is made to the 513 ancient Serbian Orthodox churches destroyed in the past 8 years since the arrival of 17,000 NATO troops. Not since Hitler has an entire ethnic population been demonized with collective guilt. Albanians have become expert at victimology.

In fact, Albanian embassies and consulates are entitled to assist in the interests of the Rep. Kosovo. In that case an informal call to Pristina would suffice but I guess that Vulin is currently searching for a hidden path or even already sneaking through the forests. Actually, quite funny..

The same it will apply for your Prime Minister Ivica Dacic. He was talking at Security Council meeting for the licence plates of the Serbs being marked by Kosovo Police, but he forgot how Serbian Police in Kosovo used to throw the Kosovars' licence plates away and kicking out of Kosovo more than one million Albanians, the biggest ethnic cleansing in history. The Serbian "Horseshoe" was the most shameful operation on the planet. I saw how The Kosovars lived in the streets of Tirana, in our stadiums and national squares in March 1999.

Why he didn't talk about six thousand Albanian women who got raped from the Serbian militants? Why Mr Ivica Dacic didn't talk about fifteen thousand Albanians who got killed by Serbian Army in 1999? I saw the Albanian homes smashed down to the ground, after the war was over. Serbia lost the war in 1999.

I will never forget Dren, a 10 year old boy from Gjakova, who I met in a military hospital in Tirana, Albania, in March 1999. The Serbs killed his mother and three little sisters, along with eighteen other kids and women, in front of his eyes. He escaped through a little window at the basement of the building, which was filled with flames and smoke and became the main witness against Milosevic at the Hague Tribunal.

The NATO intervention in Kosovo will be repeated again, if Ivica Dacic dares to attack Kosovo. No more colony for your guys!

Ari Gold

This is just a publicity stunt orchestrated by our own government to let the people know it is relinquishing Serbia's sovereignty over the holy southern province. The government of Serbia gave up control over Kosovo i Metohija when it allowed (yes Serbia's permission was required) EULEX to be established and take over most of the responsibilities of the UNMIK and then watering down a UN resolution put forth by Serbia (which would have regardless passed the general assembly vote because most of the world do not recognize the temporary occupation as legitimate, not like that has much bearing but none the less a victory) and let the EU rewrite the resolution for Serbia.

During Kostunica's premiership, Serbia managed to secure a victory in the UN talks as the security council could not agree on a resolution. So what happens? Serbia under Tadic & Otpor-ista's transfers the issue of Kosovo i Metohija to the EU and completely sabotages its own province & people.

So when you Albanian extremists glorify an notorious Islamic terrorist organ extractor, but in the end its the folks in Belgrade that you have to thank the most (after-all that really is your capital) as they have done more to advance your blackhole than any of your own people.

Still today albanians are taking over serb homes, or at best, offering them pocket change for their houses and land. You have not solved one case of a murdered serbs. You are violently trying to take over a part of Kosovo that wants nothing to do with criminals in Pristina. It doesn't take Einstein to figure out that a common future with albnaians is the same as suicide.

“The request is then given to the Kosovo government and the response is sent to Belgrade through the same channels. We are not in the chain and it is not a part of the EULEX’s mandate,” she explained.

Simply put, Kosova government is the one who gives permission. In this case Vulin was turned down.

The news is wrong here... Is not EULEX its actualy Kosovan authorities did not allow him to enter north because the visit he made in south of kosovo, Strepce and other places recently he did not comply with the rules and now he is not allowed, full stop.

Albanian visa would only allow him to enter Albania. Are you saying that Kosovo is Albania?
(Peggy, 23 August 2012 14:43)

It is common practise that countries which are not represented by themselves have other countries who can act on their behalf. In fact, Albanian embassies and consulates are entitled to assist in the interests of the Rep. Kosovo. In that case an informal call to Pristina would suffice but I guess that Vulin is currently searching for a hidden path or even already sneaking through the forests. Actually, quite funny..

Well, let this be a lesson for him, next time when Vulin attempts to pay "official" visit in Kosovo, let him prepare an "constructive" speech, and leave behind Milosevician propaganda. After all, those words are not IN anymore!
Things have changed and so have people, Mr Vulin! I live in an mixed neighborhood where once Albanians were not allowed to get even closer to serbs, and I say this from my experience.

aha stop lying. You are obsessed with Serbs. All our neighbors are either you love us or hate us but its still an obsession. Otherwise you wouldn't come on a Serbian forum day after day. At least if Thaci was paying you organ extraction money I could say you are getting it in this world but sadly no, your just bums trying ever so desperately to make us Serbs 'understand the reality on the ground'

Ahh yes, nice neutral objective journalism from the highly respectable Serbianna.

This is just another pathetic desperate attempt of someone trying to apply the artificial manufactured Kosovo precedent theory.

You do realise there are thousands of disputed islands all over the world and Kosovo has nothing to do with them. These Islands have been in disputed for many many years, long before Kosovo became independent.

Fortunately, if Belgrade changes the rest of the ex-Yugoslavian space can change in a heartbeat too. This is because after all of the b.s that has came our way, Serbia and Serbs remain the most important piece in the Balkan puzzle.
(Ari Gold, 23 August 2012 14:03)

Why? Are you the chosen people? Ask anybody in the Balkans and they will tell you they are the most important piece of the puzzle. The thing is that in grand scheme of things the Balkans is a crappy 99cents puzzle. There's way better pieces out there. Nothing special about the Balkans.

Looks like the Albanian leadership in Pristina got annoyed someone was criticizing their wonderful multiethnic paradise and decided to keep him out, lest he spread more anti-Albanian slander to the press :)

I agree! When has any serbian official not being able to go to Kosovo if he really wanted to. There is an incident where some officials haven't been able to go to serbian pockets in the south but in the north I think even Milosevic could go if he was alive. This government is more EU friendly then the last one. This government is more patriotic only on paper. No wonder Dodik was for Tadic to win.

Valon

It sounds pretty simple. Serbia sends a request to the EU and the EU forwards it to Prishtina. Prishtina makes a decision and sends it back the way it came (threw EULEX) EULEX is just the messenger when it comes to Serbian government officials entering Kosovo. The bottom line, whether you agree with it or not, is that the Serbian government needs permission from Prishtina to enter Kosovo. This gives more credibility to Kosovo's claim to sovereignty.
