Serbian deputy PM to meet with Russian counterpart

This guy has a 16 hours work day. It's so good that we finally have Defense Minister willing to work for his country. Surely good idea to visit Russia and I think that cooperation in terms of military could be beneficial for both countries. Maybe he'll bring us some MIG-29s, Suhois, Earth-air defense weapons and who knows maybe Serbia will be strongest country in the region again. Ex minister did everything in his power to weaken Serbia and this one is going to do quite opposite thing. Kudos for Mr. Vucic for trying to do that.

Serbia is being losing time at unnecessarily,Serbia should decide now for themselves,she must stop the negotiations with the EU(NATO) who are against its national interests,for example if Serbia join the masonic globalist organization EU(NATO)that is in deep crisis will lose RS of Bosnia,will lose its future,its sovereignty,its independence and will lose also Kosovo.The only way for Serbia is to join with Russia and to become part of the Eurasian Union,the time is running Serbia should choose its path that wants to follow Russia or the EU(NATO) both do not match,and if she decides for Russia then the help of Russia will be immediate.Russia is becoming stronger every day,the west and the U.S are being weakened.Russia has interest in Serbia as Serbia have interest for Russia,the enemy of my enemy is my friend.Russia 10 years ago has been weak but now things have changed Russia in the real economic terms will become the 6th largest economy by 2016 will surpass the French and UK economy and by 2020 will become the 4th largest of the world.Russia and Serbia are two brothers that need for the help of each other.

Obviously Vucic took his job quite seriously. A visit to Russia by a Serbian high official will freshen up the Serbian-Russian relations that have cooled down recently.
Whoever sees this as turning the Serbian back to Europe is mistaken. Noone from Europe does not prevent you Serbs having good relations with the Ruskies, no matter how hard Poland and the Baltic states try to prove their "westerness" by pointing their fingers on you on that matter. During his first visit to Serbia, Medvedev already stated that Serbia should join the EU and be the main Russian partner in the Union.
Russia is a traditional, political and economic partner of Serbia, and such a relationship has to cherished more thoroughly, not only when loans and support for the matter of Kosovo is needed.

I agree with you Sutanovac was probably the worst thing to happen to the Serbian Military in its very proud history. However I would not be hopeful about this Vucic guy. I don't like any of these self serving politicians. I don't think he has Serbia's national interests in mind he is just doing what's best for him and his inner circle. That is of course just my opinion I could be wrong and I hope I am.

However yes, Serbia's defense industry must be revived. In fact it is one of the industries that is turning a profit in Serbia. We export a lot of our weapons to a number of different countries.

But it can't stop there. Serbia's military needs a major overhaul and it must be the core institution in our country. Serbia really needs to follow Israel as a role model of how to live when you have a bunch of hostile neighbors all around you threatening your existence.

The next step is to arm every Serbian family in Kosovo i Metohija. Arm them to the teeth so when rabid Jihadi's attack them they will have another thing coming.

"Your" ex minister is responsible for degradation of Serbian Army...and you also know it. As for Serbian people and their trust in ex ruling Party...they trust them and you saw the results of election, Oh Wait!

Vucic character and what he have, half the politic in the old team government doeen`t haved. That is the responsibility, courage, knowledge and desire to always work in the interests of the citizens of Serbia, not the political party of his companions! So please do not talk about VUCIC as an incompetent to be a Serbian leader.

Sutanovac is not cared about planes, but he took charged of the bricks (he builds homeself appartmant`s). Vucic take care of the security of the state and the fight against crime.

But this visits shows Vucic not as a self-serving politician, but as a man of action. The Democrats with Sutanovac were thinking about actions, whereas Vucic undertakes concrete steps. Thus, although he appears arrogant in public, he deeds prove otherwise.

I hope Serbs will never more put questions like "What for ?" and "Where the Russians are ?" most often asked in 1999.

Russia is a wannabe superpower.
Putin and go are desperate for Russia to regain it's superpower status it had back in the 1980s. Russia with it's declining population will be an economic power at most aka another Germay/ regional power.
Russia's Geo-Political influence around the world is in decline and Putin is desperate to salvage what he can. The whole BRIC thing which Russia raves about is not that big either, it is built on weak foundations; China isn't that big on Russia.
One of the main characteristics of a superpower is the ability to put it's military forces in a conflict beyond it's immediate neighbours, Russia doesn't have the military capacity or the balls to do that.

Djuro Djakovic factory assembled tank T 84th. With dissolution of Yugoslavia, the factory belonged to Croatia. Many tank components were made in Serbia. Undercarriage in "14 October", hydraulics in "Petoletka". Sutanovac was arranged cooperation between Croats and Serbia to produce tanks together. Croats, themselves, have never managed to produce a modern tank. There were some unsuccessful attempts. With the help of Russia, Serbia will certainly be able to produce a very modern tank, which can be a successful export product of Serbia.

Steven I don't know that Vucic works 16 hours a day. And I don't believe politicians or their supporters like yourself when they say such things. Most politicians don't even know the meaning of work, instead sitting around parliament drinking themselves silly or feasting in the parliament restaurant for cheap prices. People in Serbia know this and cannot be fooled by activists.

I'm glad that you are so pleased with yourself concerning predictions for the elections - perhaps a career in fortune telling would be to your taste? Certainly those elderly women can get as excited as you do about your own abilities.

Yes Peggy I quite agree, but it remains to be seen if the lesser of the two evils has been chosen here.

So far the economic policy and policy on Kosovo seems to be seriously wanting. Although these are the most important issues, it seems this way in all areas. The only area so far that I'd give the new government a slight thumbs up is in its willingness to investigate past financial impropriety.

Of course it remains to be seen if they will refuse to investigate businesses / businessmen that fund SNS/SPS/JS/G17 et and focus on non government supporting businessmen or not... We know what usually happens.

According to all things what Putin do I think that Russia is prepare to be superpower again ,do not forget that Russia is in Europe ,USA still do not have guts to go on Russia ..they just can poke her from time to time and that is it !!!
