Outside of B&H how many key political figures know of Dodik? PM or Presidents of States? All you guys can squabble about your different viewpoints but when the other commentator said no one outside knows of him maybe you took it too literally. And now your trying to belittle the person with your argument. Your trying to say gotcha? What did you get? Nada! You made the mistake of misinterpreting his statement. Did you ask for the person to clarify his comment as to exactly what he meant? No! You jumped the gun so your argument is just as flawed as his. Assuming the commentator was a guy.

You guys try to outdo each other and no matter where in former yugoslavia you are from you're all culturally the same and are all short sited individuals with corrupt individuals leading you with national rhetoric. Try respecting another's opinion first even if you totally disagree and ask questions to see where their opinion stems from. You'll find that your all suffering from the same problems and issues and no one is better off than the other.

Peace to all of you! Maybe your children will wake up without hate one day.....

It's amazing how you Albanians change you tune once you have been beaten. The statement you made was that nobody knows his name outside RS and when the answer came that you do, you now change it to another statement.
Shifting goal posts is not a way to discuss well.

Comparing RS and Kosova is like comparing apples and oranges.
(Mirel from Albania, 16 August 2012 18:56)
As Kosova is now recognized by 91 countries, why do you need Serbia’s recognition? Surely all of these recognitions has produced a better life or improved the situation???? The reality is simple, without Serbia’s recognition you’re dead in the water. Kosovo can even get a seat in the UN but if Belgrade does not recognize Pristina…… no change or as I say status quo and the quagmire continues unabated.
Oh as far as RS and Kosovo being like apples and oranges that’s only in an Albanian heaven.

Mike C, do you have a link published a bit more recently than 2009? Classic. Anyway, Dodik can call RS anything he likes. Most people in the world wouldn't know the first thing about RS. What I'd like to know is what kind of employment prospects exist there? In what condition is the infrastructure? Would my premature baby be saved by an incubator? How long would it take me to upload or download files? Are there any fiber-optic broadband providers? How clean is the water? How safe are the roads and bridges? Are automobile emissions below EU or other Western standards? How many people still smoke? What are the mortality statistics when it comes to cigarette-related deaths? Where do students rank internationally in reading, math and science? What great universities exist there? What cities are known for high-tech, or medical, or aerospace industry? What RS companies are at the forefront of innovation when it comes to green technology? Who are all the immigrants from the rest of the world rushing to move there for a better quality of life? Forget what RS is or isn't. Why should I even care?

If that would be the case, why no country in this world recognized your "state"? I recall that this did not happen even in the most die-hard pro Serbian countries.

You just fool yourself and everyone who hold dear on you. Actually, that statements are the only thing which kept you in office. I guess that this is after all the real intention of your hollow sentences. An intependent RS will never happen and an attempt would end where the war stopped in 1995. Nobody, not even the Serbs want that. Try to find a common ground with Sarajevo. End of the story.

The RS has the same amount of recognition as Martic'c Krajina - ZERO. Kosova has more recognition than Dodik's empire.
(Bam Bam, 16 August 2012 15:15)

Those recognition's mean nothing for your people. Republika Srpska decides all its internal affairs without any Muslims or Westerners having any say with what goes on inside RS. So my definition it is more independent than 'Kosovia*' because obviously the Albanians bow down to every Western demand in our holy province since the Albanians have no means to ensure their separation from Serbia without Western presence.

So whenever the West leaves, we take it back and there's nothing you can do about it. Your 'special police force' harass Serbs in Strpce and Gracanica because you outnumber them significantly. You tried in Mitrovica but one of your terrorists left Mitrovica murdered and ROSU Jihadists were defeated. Happy day for us.

(Ron, 16 August 2012 16:47)

In case u forget RS is recognised as part of BH,if RS will proclame the independence will see its will be the state or not.

Kosova on the other end has proclamed its independence and has been recognised by 91 UN countries and others are close to do so and soon ,ironically under Jaremic its will get 97 recognision which is the majority of UN.
Soon Nikolic and co will allow Kosova to become a member of UN without recognising it,and as exchange they will get a date for EU membership.

After Dayton a smart Serbian doctrine would have been to preserve the union with Montenegro, to somehow formally or informally integrate Srpska and to get rid of Kosovo. Thus it could have found friends and allies among its traditional enemies, like Albanians and the Croats who would have fond easier to achieve their goals helping the Serbs, rather than opposing them. Now it may be too late.

I have said that I think that Milorad Dodik is a Very High Class Secret Fifth Columnist who is only rarely used at crucial times to mislead the Serbian People.

I formed that opinion of him about after his statements on the News Item here at B 92 on 16 September 2011, concerning the News Item that is Titled: Serbia cannot stop snatching of Kosovo.

It made more sense for them to all the Serbs to go to North Kosovo rather than Serbia proper and have Refugee Tents to show the World the Genocide that the International Community and the Albanians are perpetrating on the Serbian People so that at least North Kosovo could seek Independence.

I wrote of my suspicions that Milorad Dodik is a Very High Class Secret Fifth Columnist at a comment I made here at B 92 on 28 May 2012, and the News Item is Titled: Election of Nikolic deepest downfall of transition.

I suggested that the Autonomous Serb Republic should ask the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina to File a Genocide Lawsuit against Turkey and Albania, and if it is not passed by All the Constitutional Entities, then the Autonomous Serb Republic will not proceed on its own to Violate the Country’s Constitution.

This was in response to the Bosnian Muslim Serbs of Bosnia Herzegovina Violated Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Constitution by Voting to support Al-Qaeda Terrorists against a United Nations Country.

If he is a Patriotic Serb, then he will Prepare the Paperwork, and Present it to Bosnia and Herzegovinian Government.

Republika Srpska has more recognitions then Kosovo. Its recognized by the whole world as a republic within a country. It's only a matter of time before it becomes 100% independent.
And I say what you albanians in Kosovo are saying: its better to be semi independent then ruled by others.
And who gives a craps a** what the Germans or Americans say! They say Kosovo is independent an its not. If it was why negotiate with Belgrade? Why not a UN member?

Why don't you read this article Einstein and see for yourself where Bosnia is heading.

"...the international community’s best response to the imminent Bosnian fracture may be to reluctantly accept it."

Dodik says “Republic of Srpska is state”. How many states have recognized so called RS? It's funny because at the same time he says 'Kosovo is not state', even though Kosovo has been recognized by 91 countries, so far.

Comparing RS and Kosova is like comparing apples and oranges.

Well, my friend, check 1244: Kosovo still is a Serbian province ruled by UN. This can change but only if both sides agree!

Say what you will, this man is fighting for survival of his people in an extremely hostile environment, and that should command respect.
I agree with him.

Bosnia is a geographical area consisting of 2 mini statelets. Srpska and FBiH with a very week central government handling the military and foreign affairs. Bosnia can only survive as a state on a federal basis nothing more nothing less.Threats from Izetbegovic and the SDA only entrench the impasse between the 3 communities and give potential investors the shivers. The politicians need to be grownup and stop the nationalist rethoric. Serbia does not want the RS and Croatia does not want Herceg-Bosna. Its tine our children came together for a brighter future with the intolerance shown in papers such as Avaz and without the interference of the American ambassador who is a paper tiger.

Who cares what Dodik says? Who actually knows his name outside BiH & Serbia?
(Hans, 16 August 2012 13:03)

Well apparently you, the "German", know his name outside of BiH & Serbia.

There was another man in Balkans just as Dodik that was thinking to be president of a state only because he was driven in car and someone was opening the door for him. His name was Ibrahim Rugova.

I'm among those few foreigners who know his name, but surely not among those who take Dodik serious.

It's amazing how you Albanians change you tune once you have been beaten. The statement you made was that nobody knows his name outside RS and when the answer came that you do, you now change it to another statement.
Shifting goal posts is not a way to discuss well.

Well my "countryman" ha ha ha. So you mean that Republika Srpska is further from independence now then 3 years ago? 3 years ago the west cared about Bosnia, today they don't.

And Thaci says 'Republik of Kosovo is a state'. Who of both is living in the bigger illusion? I think it's hard to decide :)

kosovo is recognized while RS is NOT.
