Serbia is under pressure now to close her parallel structures in north Kosova. These "parallel structures" are over 2,000 members of your elite police units and intelligence officers
(ben, 15 August 2012 18:04)

Let's just say that's right. 2000 MUPs at the so-called "border" is going to be hard to get rid of. In fact, KFOR had every opportunity to control the "border" and uncover the MUP presence. Either they didn't find any, or they don't care that they are there.

Now these 2,000 units were not able to stop ROSU which successfully accomplished her task of capturing the gates 31 and 1 in north.
(ben, 15 August 2012 18:04)

Great Hoxha's Rotting Corpse that's not true at all. ROSU made it to one "border crossing" before anyone knew what was going on, and were halted by the other once the local population found out. Then the civilized world heard about the escalation of violence, got angry, and told Thaci to remove his goons before a war breaks out. KFOR now "controls" the situation but works very well with the local Serbian population, even allowing "alternative routes" to work, while some token Albanian "border guard" is flown to work every day to the north to give the impression to rubes like you that Pristina is in charge of something. Some victory you seem to get excited over. Like I said, post offices and phone companies don't have the means to defend themselves, and knowing they won't get shot at, ROSU can play war games and not get hurt :)

This is sort of like when the Serbs were visiting that memorial site and squadrons of police forced people through gauntlets where they were stripped of clothing that offended the policeman.

How long are we obliged to turn away from this idle and well funded thuggary?

Since it appears that ROSU has from the looks of things the 'don't mess with us' mentality I have a question to ask which stems from a neutral standpoint and mere curiosity.

I recall that when I was a 7th grade student in my birthplace (the northern New Brunswick city of Bathurst) that one day when I rode the school bus the bus had stopped whether it was due to a red traffic light signal or the driver had some students to drop off but either way while the bus had halted I noticed on the opposite side of the road and going the opposite direction was a local cop car where a couple of these 8th grade students aboard the bus jokingly made an obscene gesture to the cop (get this, they each raised their middle finger to the cop) and in retrospect I'm a bit surprised that the cop didn't signal or turn on the siren or siren lights to alert the bus driver to pull over where the cop who enter the bus and at least scold or reprimand these students.

So therefore my question is if someone (even if just a teenager) jokingly raised their middle finger at ROSU what will they do? Will ROSU get hold of the offender's finger and attempt to tear it off? Or will they warn the offender something like "Never make on obscene gesture to the police or I'll tear of your finger! I don't even care if I'm committing police brutality,I don't care if I'm not following standard protocol or proper procedures I don't even care about your civil rights!I'm a member of ROSU and I can do whatever I want!".

you can easily do all these operations with normal police units which wil be way more effective- you don't need this show.
(ben, 15 August 2012 13:09)

Exactly, but then you don't make headlines! This is for propaganda purposes. KPS could make it easy and quiet. But people in Pristina need to look tough and telephone offices, like banks, are guaranteed not to shoot back, making the "special unit" raid easy and bloodless :)

Yes I remember that Serb sniper that shot a police officer from a distance since he was a coward to face him and I am sure his children remember him also.
(Karl, 15 August 2012 16:56)

Who needs 1389 for inspiration? This "coward" simply followed the dozens of Albanian cowards who shoot at swimming children, blow up buses, burn down churches, steal cows and beat lots of old people but only if they outnumber them at least 3 to 1 since 1999. Well I shouldn't really make that comparison since that "coward" acted in clear defense whereas the Albanian attacks came without any prior offense :)

Police got a tip from locals that weapons and ammo are stored so they did what every law enforcement should do, investigate the area and left when they found nothing, without harming anyone or causing damages to the building. Btw, the picture posted is not members of ROSU/NJSO but NJSI, the elite unit of KP and had nothing to do the raid.

p.s. your govt admiting the presence of the MUP members in north Kosova http://www.b92.net/eng/news/politics-article.php?yyyy=2012&mm=07&dd=17&nav_id=81310 unfortunately for you, unable to stop ROSU who took the control of the border (link in my previous post).

Maybe, Ben, these ROSA guys aren't so special? Remember when they got their rear ends handed to them by some Serb citizens at an administrative line last year? The halloween masks are pretty scary though.

The Kosovo Albanians should stop their Criminal Al-Qaeda Ways, and they should Embrace the European Values of Good Relations and Cooperation with other Europeans.

They can do this by lobbying Hard Day and Night for the SAA Agreement to is be Implemented and for the Kumanovo Agreement to be scrapped in order to Help Facilitate a Positive Attitude for the future Belgrade Pristina Talks.

I guess when ROSU can't "raid" those who fight back they aim at soft targets instead. Next headline will be: ROSU raid a serbian run hot dog stand.

Ha. Laughable...the intimidation hots up as the Albanians realize that their buddy Tadic is no longer in charge, and that the Serbian's have decided to speak in a clear and rational language... Kosovo is not a state... Thaci is accused of war crimes... Resolution 1244 is still in place... dialogue not monologue.

Can you imagine how dumb those special units must look raiding a telephone exchnage in balaclava's- only in Kosovo.

It is as using a Ferrari to go to buy an ice cream.

Or the KPS needs to explain the reasons of high risk of these kind of operation?? or one needs to be honest and think it is simply showing force to locals??

you can easily do all these operations with normal police units which wil be way more effective- you don't need this show.
