PM meets with incoming chief of UN General Assembly

PM Ivica Dačić on Tuesday in Belgrade met with Serbia's former Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremić, who is about to take over as president of the UN General Assembly.

These guys are obviously clueless about what the president of the UNGA is. The UNGA president is an official of the UN whose priority are the interests of the UN. The UNGA president is not an official of the country where is happens to be coming from and is not there to reppresent or promote the interests of that country.

If Jeremic leaves DS he will want to go to a party that can offer him a senior position in government - he has little interest in party politics.

That means SNS and SPS could be considered, however, within those parties there are many individuals who wouldn't want him jumping above them in the pecking order to be a future party leader.
