Not a strong point thinking? Serbs don't need a hidden agenda at all. Albanians have made a bad reputation for themselves wherever they go. Go abroad and ask your policeman. No one made them do it. It has nothing to do with Serbs.

I think the key thing to notice is that the Serbian hidden agenda is to portray all Albanians from Kosovo as thugs and criminals and I think that’s not a nice neighbourly behaviour to say the least. Lets not get carried away here a criminal is a criminal and that is what the case is here but c’mon you have criminals in Serbia too in fact you have gang lords. This one was stupid Albanian petty thief having to steal probably out of necessity but still a crime is a crime and all parties condemn it. This is so clever by the Serbs, so cunning as ever. When KPS attempt to patrol the area to deter these dumb thugs the MUP forces come inside administrative line and arrest them. So let’s be good neighbours and fight crime as we did in this case and stop hate mongering. The Albanians are going to be there in Kosovo, whether you like it or not. What most enrage Albanians is that Serbs have this attitude of completely ignoring Albanian existence. That in my opinion is the ultimate cardinal sin for any prospering nation.

Well, Painter, I do not know what you are trying to get at by mentioning the Serbian constitution, but an administrative line, is an administrative line, and ALL people must show proper ID when crossing it, to the administrative authorities. You are still trying to act the fool, by showing unwavering ignorance, maybe intentionally? The administrative line means you are going into an administered area, as Kosovo is administered by the UN, under UNSC resolution 1244. Albanians would like a border crossing, but because Kosovo is not an independent nation, and its status is still disputed, there exists an administrative line that is managed by international overseers, working in line (supposedly) with the above mentioned resolution. Hope that cleared your head a bit, because I just gave myself a headache. In any case, you can't go around firing automatic weapons at police, administrative line or not.

@Painter, please learn to read if you want to act smart.

If you bothered to read the TITLE of the article or the FIRST sentence you would have noticed what your Albanian friend was arrested for.

"23-year-old Fitim Ademi from the Kosovo municipality of Podujevo has been arrested in the southern Serbian town of Kuršumlija for shooting at police officers."

SHOOTING AT POLICE OFFICERS... hmm, not sure what the laws are like in Nato controlled Kosovo*, but where I come from you can be pretty sure that if you try something like that you'll probably be arrested.

Oh, unless you're from Syria, then you'll probably be called a freedom fighter, get all kinds of weapons & money from the US & AlQaida and in the end you'll celebrate your "freedom" while living in utter poverty surrounded by foreign military forces who tell you what to do, when to eat, sleep, _____ & ______. While they help themselves to everything and anything your country has to offer.

Yeah...
thanks, but no thanks!

It would be good to know where all this timber was going. Unless the Albanians were just stealing out of habit, the timber was bound to wind up at some mill to be cut for lumber. And so where was the lumber going? Is there Albanian construction projects in Kosovo? That would be fun to know too. We can guess they are not rebuilding Serb homes burned down by arson.

The interesting thing is that serbs are stopped when trying to cross the administration line. My question is how do albanians manage to cross the administrative line without any KFOR troops stopping them?

Painter

pre 11 godina

Painter, stealing timber, is stealing timber, no matter the administrative borders. But yes, these Albanian thieves did cross into Serbia Proper, and tried to steal. Even when a Serb in N. KiM crosses the administrative line with Serbia, he has crossed from KiM into Serbia proper. Nothing in the constitution about stealing timber, but that it is a crime - shooting at police, well I guess that is acceptable in Albanian society, but not in Serbian. Please stop trying to do an "I gotcha", it only makes you look ignorant.

Ecoman, I couldn't agree more, stealing timber is stealing timber, and one should be punished for it. But But how can one arrest someone for entering Serbia "illegally" when it pretends Kosovo is Serbia. It's like arresting people from Vojvodina who come to Belgrade. Also, the administrative line is in violation of Serbia's constitution. According to the Serbian constitution, Serbia is one country, no proper and improper Serbia.

No, they were Albanians, and they would have probably payed the 'custom duties' (i.e. bribes) to Kosovo Albanian 'custom officers', even for stolen timber - unless they were clan members of some 'custom officer', then of course nothing to pay :)

Ademi was questioned and remanded in custody for ten days for illegal crossing of the administrative line and shooting at the police.

So he was questioned about illegal crossing to Serbia?. Serbs in the north should also be taken in to custody for illegal crossing to Kosovo.

Hahaha, can you picture, Albanian thieves riding away from the police on their tractors - you can't make this stuff up.As for the captured scum, just take that timber and beat him over the head with it.
