Wonder if a Serb family could walk freely into a Mickey D's in Pristina? Maybe, but they better not be speaking Serbian. Good comment, Ben.

Wonder if a Albanian family could walk freely into a Mc'D in Belgrad without speaking Serbian?
PS. Bless the women who took care of the children, respect.

@ Paul

Shame on you, as you were there and saw the "trouble" those kids coused!

Well done to Maja Rogić, It would have been nice if more Serbs were like her and not filled with hate towards ex Yugo states thinking Serbs are superior. Bravo Mrs Rogić.

@Paul, you seem to know exactly what happened. Were you there?
Just because they were Roma you assume that they were making trouble.
Get rid of your prejudice. They are only kids and should be treated with kindness. How would you like your kids to be kicked around? Children must be protected no matter where they are and who they are with.
I really hate people like you.

Sorry, but I think security at this place is probably innocent. First the children are picked up "at a nearby square". I'm guessing that the restaurant is actually on the square and the Roma kids were probably in the store frequently making trouble of some kind or another and the security knew them by face and was already well into the habit of throwing them out.

Some bleeding heart idiot comes along and either hears about the problem themselves or listens to some sob story from the urchins themselves and she brings them to the McDonalds. The security guard (and we deserve to know why a restaurant needs a security guard) sees the kids again, doesn't even see that they are accompanied by a mark and throws them out again by habit. Oh, horror! The bleeding heart with lots of time on her hands (and, therefore, money) is shocked and brings the matter to the attention of the authorities.

And there is a lawsuit now and, we can guess, this was probably part of a plan. Suing McDonalds is a national pastime here in the US. McDonalds has deep pockets, lots of lawyers and has a shiny, happy-face image to uphold.

hello, it's not really security. It's someone that looks out for kids getting to rowdy, for not trashing the place, and for not stealing the hardware. Someone took it upon themselves to be Roma control, that's all. It is quite pathetic, as these were poor children, and they were not begging or annoying anyone. It simply a supremacist attitude that some folks have in Serbia, especially Vojvodina. They haven't a pot to pee in, but view themselves are better. Believe me, things will change at that MacDonald's.

I've been to that MacDonald's in Novi Sad, and believe me the locals look no better than these poor down on their luck Roma kids. The people in Vojvodina still think they are living under the rule of Maria Theresa.
