The only European country to make ethnic cleansing into a national holiday.

One of the saddest days of my life wiith minimal press in Serbia to virtually no press or condemnation in the rest of the world (similar to Jasenovac). As Croatia celebrates this day I cry in solitude wondering how the world works and what makes news.

Like the Albanians in Kosovo, the Croats have little to celebrate, because it was NATO's doing that drove Serbs out of Bosnia and Kosovo. This was an evil plan, that ethnically cleansed Serbs from their ancestral homes, and to make matters worse were, through Western propaganda, declared to be the aggressors. Karma will be a bitch one day for America, and its NATO war machine. The universe has a way of balancing itself, and the toll will be great for the guilty.

17 years ago Croatian neo-nazi's expelled Serbs from Republika Srpska Krajina. Sad day. Serbia should cease all diplomatic relations with Croatia and do everything in its power to make life for that country a living hell. I don't hate Croats as people but I do hate the genocidal state of Nazi Croatia.

The Albanians would like to do the same to the Serbs in Kosovo i Metohija. I don't want to talk down to any group of Serbs but Serbs in Kosovo i Metohija are not like Serbs from Krajina. So if you think you can kick out Serbs there it will have to be in body bags because they will not leave.

Now the dilemma is of course NATO-KFOR are not willing to commit genocide in our southern province and the Albanians are not physically able or strong enough to do anything to Serbs in Mitrovica (only to 14 year old girls in isolated enclaves).

This is a great victory for CROATIAN State thant's why they celebrate day as thanks giving day'' well done croatia and croation people for liberating they country from the criminals living under the barricades and road blockings. It was the hero Franjo Tugjman and the hero Mr Ante Gatovina who contribute and led this operation. Civilans killed is really sad but you can't save every one when there is a war you all agree on that. Civilians is been killed in other parts of Croatia as well. Croatia is excellent state and protects its minoritys and is closer to becoming a EU membership which is gonna happen early next year.

And a good thing they didn't. Croats can only afford to live in Knin now. Dalmatia is nothing but a tourist colony for Italians, Germans, and British. Karlovac is a dead city after all the Serbs moved out. Vukovar is still in shambles. Outside Zagreb and Istria, there's either nothing worth living in or nothing normal Croats can afforf. Imagine if Serbs accepted Z4! Croats would be homeless while Krajina Serbs would have their own RSK!

You lost accept it move on ( you took Vojvodina from Hungary when you lost) many Hungarians and Germans had to leave life they moved on you will as well.

I believe collaborating with the losing side in two world wars disqualified an already small minority of Hungarians and Germans from Vojvodina. I think it's *you* who needs to suck it up and move on.

7/8ths of the Wehrmacht was deployed against the USSR. The Western Front was a sideshow compared to the Eastern Front.

Chose your friends then where was Brother Russia!!! IN WWII if it was not for USA you would have been speaking German. You are confused now WWII is done deal and world is different.

Serbs are a belligerent nation,now why mourn that they have lost land and people....!perhaps the same will to replay.

What I remember most from that event is the American ambassador to Croatia, Peter Galbraith, sitting on a tractor in a long convoy of expelled Serbs from Krajina. Peter Galbraith was one of the architects of that war crime-Peter Galbraith will one day face justice.

A very sad day. I can't believe b92 advertising banner on this story is for Croatian holidays.

If Serbs do not want NATO(Germany, USA, UK, France..) go on the street tomorrow say to EU shove it we do not want to join call Putin and go with Russian Union. Why do you beg to join a club where you seem not to like and they make different conditions for you.

On one side u curse thm but you do not say no to their grants and subsedies. If Serbs are so proud show us go in street and vote for a people that will be against joining EU.

The US made a difference in the Pacific but not in Europe.
