Maybe it makes perfect sense to billions of people who respect their religions.
(Peggy, 3 August 2012 10:46)

But it did not make sense to you as you kept asking "why, why, why" !
----------

It seems that only the Serbs are condemned for including the church in all aspects of their lives.
(Peggy, 3 August 2012 10:46)

Condemned?! No, it's not that... they are just ridiculed for being brainwashed, but they are certainly free to be brainwashed if that's what they like.

Now icj go and tell Obama to abandon religious festivities because it doesn't make sense to you and really annoys you.

How many Albanians are going to be part of the consensus of kosova in Serbia? I highly doubt any. That for sure would want to make kosova join that black hole of Europe Serbia.

How many Albanians were turned over by prishtina to the Hague ? Hague didn't ask kosova to turn anyone in, they just put out an arrest warrant and the Albanians flew themselves to the Hague. It's nice to see that at least the Albanians still show the honor that men should show.

There will be no partition of kosova because if Serbia constitution says that all of kosova is part of Serbia and they are willing to change it to only say n. Kosova is part of Serbia then give it time because they will change it to say none of kosova is part of Serbia.

I truly believe that Serbia should change its stance toward kosova. When kosova gets into the eu and NATO ( which it will before Serbia) then Serbia can say hey kosova let us in " you owe us one"

God bless you all

That is an easy question to answer. Peggy is one of the diehard diaspora that is totally insulated from the actions in Serbia. She would rather see 1 million Serbs (in Serbia) suffer than to see 1 Albanian prosper. She enjoys the freedom, economics and benefits of the western democracy, but yet feels that Serbs in Serbia should run to the ownership and oppression of Russia.

The church is for spiritual guidance. Why bring the Bible into a court room to swear on? Why does the Pope go around the world preaching to Catholics (and non Catholics) how to live?
Why does almost every Mufti decide on how Muslims should live?
Why, why why?

To all the rational Serbs why would Kosovo want to negotiate its freedom with Serbia when it already has its own police force, security force, NATO troops guarding its borders and not to mention the last option of simply calling a referendum and joining Albania.

Can you name anyone under indictment by the Hague that Pristina is refusing to hand over? Just because itis popular for Serb nationalists to accuse people here of war crimes, does not mean a lot. Quite right - there is no point in negotiation, Kosovo will always be a part of Serbia, it will never be independent as long as Russia and Serbia say so.

So what is the point of negotiating- well you might want to improve the lives of the peope that live in Kosovo.

If you had any care or consideration for a lasting peace and living with your Balkan neighbours in harmony you might want to talk to them, but then again that might be a little too much of a leap in understanding for you.

Here is an idea - allow the people of Kosovo to call themselves what they want, think in terms of dual nationality and citizenship, systems of governance for the Serbian and Albanian communities that don't impose one group's decision making policy on another. Serbians of Kosovo can pay their taxes to Belgrade, answer to Serbian institutions, preserve their own culture and language if they so wish. Albanians of Kosovo can remain financially, politically and culturally independent of Serbia.

Of course there is your great idea a referendum to join Albania ignoring all the wishes of anyone that isn't Albanian that should bring peace and harmony to the region.

I like Nikolic!
With Tadic albanians had less chance to succeed since EU wanted him in charge of Serbia and he was seen as pro Europian,so the pressure on Albanians was very high.
With Nikolic is like with Miloshevich,EU and USA is fed up with him and their pressure will be on Serbia not on albanians, like when Tacid was president. The only thing Nikolic can do to impress EU is to allow Kosova to join UN and he will do it,otherwise no EU for Serbia.
For Albanians,Nikolic is better than Tadic.I dont know why some serb nationalist are happy.

P.S.Looks some serb comentators are Kustunica's supporters such as Zoran etc,yet they adore Russia.Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't the West who picked and supported Kushtunica?
And wasn't Russia 100% on Millishevich side?It took 1 month and several uprising in Belgrade, for Russia to accept that Milishevich lost the election.I mean love for Kushtunica and Russia,is like lybians today to like current gonverment and Russia. It doesnt make sense.

You are correct, Viajet. Serbia has handed over to the Hague almost all of the people suspected of war crimes during the Balkan civil wars of the 90's, Pristina has not. Nikolic should insist that the organ-harvesting accusations leveled at Hasim Thaci, and other KLA suspected war criminals, be thoroughly investigated before he sits at any negotiating table with Kosovo Albanians. Crimes and atrocities were definitely committed against Serbs and other minorities in KiM during the civil war, and ALL sides must be held accountable. Would the Albanians have sat down and negotiated with Milosevic?

It's clear that things are changing and Kosovo is still very much in control of Kosovo. The West's influence is weakening and Serbia's is strengthening.

I really doubt in any kind of progress in any future talks.....I hope I am wrong. Serbia most defenitely will push for the parttion of Kosovo....or exchange of territory.

Serbia has handed over to the Hague almost all of the people suspected of war crimes during the Balkan civil wars of the 90's, Pristina has not
(ecoman, 2 August 2012 12:09)
Can you name anyone under indictment by the Hague that Pristina is refusing to hand over? Just because itis popular for Serb nationalists to accuse people here of war crimes, does not mean a lot. No legitimate court has done so. Even warrants issued by Serb courts are ignored by interpol as they lack legitimacy.

Having these two individuals head negotiations with Kosovo authorities and EU integrations will prove to be a mistake for Serbia.
Whom will they blame then?

Serbia, parliamentary parties, civil sector and representatives of the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPS) and Kosovo Serbs,” the daily’s sources explained.

Why mix religion with politics? The church should preach the word of God, which is love and peace, and not get involved in state affairs.

Are you just a newcomer to the news?
That was not the deal and nobody would support it. So go ahead, ask Albania, who knows they can't do it even if they wanted to.

The church is for spiritual guidance. Why bring the Bible into a court room to swear on? Why does the Pope go around the world preaching to Catholics (and non Catholics) how to live?
Why does almost every Mufti decide on how Muslims should live?
Why, why why?

Maybe it makes perfect sense to billions of people who respect their religions.
It seems that only the Serbs are condemned for including the church in all aspects of their lives.
I find nothing wrong with getting some spiritual guidance. Most of the world doesn't either.
Now icj go and tell Obama to abandon religious festivities because it doesn't make sense to you and really annoys you.

The outcome of these talks is already pre-determined Kosovo will be independent with or without Serbias blessing.

If that's the case, what's the point in negotiating then?
Why is everyone wasting their time?

(ecoman, 2 August 2012 18:54)

That's very logical... that's why by the same logic Kosovo is not going to be part of Serbia because Serbia barely manages to feed these 10000 children http://www.b92.net/eng/news/society-article.php?yyyy=2012&mm=07&dd=21&nav_id=81391, let alone other 2M people of Kosovo.

Yes, I agree, but what are we going to do when the idiots in the present government are even more incompetent!

To all the rational Serbs why would Kosovo want to negotiate its freedom with Serbia when it already has its own police force, security force, NATO troops guarding its borders and not to mention the last option of simply calling a referendum and joining Albania.
(Mr. Q, 2 August 2012 14:58)

because that's the only way for Kosovo to have an Olympics team LOL That's more important than all the things you mentioned :)

Yea for an atheist like me, none of that should happen. They harm our civilization so much. God's people but yet they travel on bullet-proof car. Someone's afraid of death.

(Johny, 3 August 2012 02:42)
That is an easy question to answer. Peggy is one of the diehard diaspora that is totally insulated from the actions in Serbia. She would rather see 1 million Serbs (in Serbia) suffer than to see 1 Albanian prosper. She enjoys the freedom, economics and benefits of the western democracy, but yet feels that Serbs in Serbia should run to the ownership and oppression of Russia.
