For decades the Iranians worked over the bomb and it’s not that easy that they will refuse from the national idea. But the west has only a whip for them with no carrot. Why not offer them something positive ? The sequences for the post-strike world may be too horrible not to seek for other options. Disintegrated Iraq is now followed by Syria and very likely next will be the Turkish and the Iranian Kurdistans. If such a big new country appears in the region then the war mongers will miss the old good mullah regime coz the whole region where Israel is located will become a one big and non-stop horror. I can even imagine reasons why the US may seek for such a disaster. But what pushes Israel ?

Jews does not look as stupid as the Turks who only add fuel to the flame to take them away. Israel cannot afford to lose any war as it will be their final count down. Their rivals won’t repeat the mistake of 1973 war when silly Arabs seized what they wanted to seize and stopped their troops. It gave the Yankees a chance to airborne arm supplies which changed the scenario. This time Israel won’t have such a gift. So the strike will mean that the Arabs who now fear the Iranians will join them to unite the Islamic world. Then even the rotten regimes of theirs will have to behave different. So I think Israel have more motives for peace than it demonstrate today.
