Not really. You can never know it for sure (Assad doesn't allow observers or media), but it's likely that this massacre was not commited by the official Syrian army, but by Assads Shabiha paramilitaries.

AFTER ALL, RELIGION IS NOT AN ISSUE FOR SERBS, BUT DICTATORSHIP IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING, RIGHT?
So, why mix religion with nationalist/shovenist extremism when you talk about Kosova and Serbia?

Does this mean that rebel loses are 1,170 ?
Unarmed and unorganized they appear to be much more deadly then army.
Word of two about Syria.
I pity civilians. Bashar Assad is not a good guy. Al-Assad family was brought to power by CIA in 1971. That's enough to raise a red flag to any normal person - when was a last time CIA supported anybody remotely normal ?
From dictators and brutes operating death squads in South America, to Saddam Hussein, Al-Qaeda's Bin Laden....list goes on.
I doubt that Al-Assad's are any different.

What you mean is that the army of an independent Syria is about to destroy the NATO-backed Arab mercenaries who are murdering and raping decent Syrians.
