No, in good old communist days, there was no opposition, or let's say the 'opposition' was some installed stooges of the regime, too :)

The DS did a pretty good job in installing their own stooges when they were in power. It's the Serbian tradition. Probably left over from the old communist days of purging the government of any opposition.

Somehow unbelievable that the state government tries to pressure local self governments and municipalities. I wonder if these guys in the SPS ever thought about what 'self government' means. They were elected, and are not stooges installed by the state government.
