Even some who were on the list of DS and other parties from the former government, they realized their mistake, they belong to their lists!

Mirel, Serbia had two of its provinces given autonomy in order to balance out Serbia's influence within Jugoslavija since Serbia was the largest and most powerful republic in the federation. It decentralized Jugoslavija to try to make everyone equal. When Jugoslavija was breaking up, as it had been economically since the mid-80s, it was an attempt to centralize power to keep the federation together. It also made little sense to keep the autonomous status when it seemed Serbia would soon be on its own, considering the reason it was there was to curb Serbian influence in a country that would no longer exist in a very short period. It wasn't done on the sole basis of ethnic balance. It did make a nice campaign promise for Slobo that he was protecting Serbs, though.

Very funny. 'Local authorities' are controlled from the top, obviously, not taking into account the local situation and circumstance. It shows the true spirit of the SPS. And he even dares to call it 'harmonizing'. Could be called 'political streamlining' as well.

'But in 1989 Serbia striped the authonomy of Vojvodina too. Why?'
(Mirel from Albania)

Balance, and more centralised control. They probably knew that outside forces would target Vojvodina for separation as well as Kosovo.

I have a question for serbian comentators.
In 1989 Serbia striped the authonomy of Kosova bacause serbians were complaining about the bad treatment of serbian minority in Kosova.
But in 1989 Serbia striped the authonomy of Vojvodina too. Why?

Mr Pajtic suddenly everyone wants to work together! Poor and wretched a politician, especially a man as he escapes the chair he sits on, without any shame about the instability of the economic situation in Novi Sad, and reigned there for years.
