It is the Balkans that have been eaten away. Not the USofA.

When you stop getting loans from the US and start giving them, then perhaps (although not likely) your perception of the world will turn into some kind of reality.

Oh Hillary I'm sorry to say but American has become so rotten from within that it is nearing its end. Your wars have bankrupted you. The decay in American society is like Termites eating away at the walls. America will not stand forever on its current path and its only a matter of time before the Big one hits.

Russia made a tactical mistake when they had the chance to condemn the violence in Syriaand to support a UN resolution against Assad. Consequently 100's if not 1000's have lost their lives and 10's of thousands have been displaced. Assad is sure to fall and all Russia can do now is cry. Russia had hoped that Assad would have been able to control the uprising, but as we have seen all over the Mid East there is no force stronger than people power. The Russians have lost their only 'bastion' in the Arab world by supporting the wrong side. Had they backed a humane resolution against Assad they would have kept their assets in Syria safe and even gained some world wide respect.
I would not be surprised if the next revolution will be in Russia because this Putin character is no different than the Assad's and the Gaddafi's of this world. Putin knows it and although on the outside he shows himself as a tough man no doubt that on the inside he is shaking with fear.

Despite the usual anti-western bigotry on this site, it is time for Assad to go. He had his people shoot into peaceful demonstrations. He uses heavy weapons against his own people. State terrorism is very much at work here.

It is Syrians who are fighting him - not George Bush, Bilary or anyone else from the west.

The real criminals in this are the Russians who have cynically allowed an escalation into civil war instead of forcibly telling Assad to stop. They will be the eventual losers when Assad is finally shifted - they will have sacrificed thousands of lives and their own influence for no good reason.
