I agree, with the exception that I wouldn't call the current authorities 'elected' after all the faking and manipulations during the last self-organized elections in the democratic dream state of Kosovo.
(Comm. Parrisson, 26 July 2012 07:46)
International observers who noted irregularities were satisfied with redos in communities where irregularities were reported. But if you are that concerned about the elections is Kosovo, you must really be concerned about the elections in Russia and even the allegations in Serbia.
Putin manipulated the entire constitutional order to establish a dictatorship, by removing himself from office and being replaced by his stoolie, in order to create a whole new term of eligibility for him to run the country.

In fact, and that's why the creation of Kosovo was really unwise.
(Comm. Parrisson, 26 July 2012 09:59)

Yeah, that's a fair point, but I've always viewed the Kosovo question as being a part of the overall dissolution of Yugoslavia. Milosevic was warned by the West to tread carefully there long before the emergence of the KLA in 1996, and Rugova fought hard to have Kosovo included at Dayton. The West, of course, delayed on dealing with Kosovo's status, perhaps in part due to the need for Milosevic's help in obtaining peace in Bosnia and Croatia. Had Milosevic dealt much more carefully with the Albanian uprising in the late 1990s, Kosovo might still be an actual province of Serbia today. Instead, we have what amounts to a Taiwan-China, or S Ossetia-Georgia situation.

It is not for outsiders like me (and the US/EU) to tell you what to do. We Russians have a tendency to want to be more Serbian than Serbs, it comes from envy and admiration of all you persevered through; from the Turks to the vice grip of Warsaw Pact/NATO. I did not live through a NATO invasion or a virtual economic blockade. So do what you must, but don't do it blindly. Partition is capitulation. Total capitulation. Kosovo can never be taken from you, it can only be given away. At the very least slow down; this too will pass, time is on your side. God be with you what ever you do.

Drivel. Propaganda intended to sugar coat what has always been the American plan: economically blackmailing Serbia into surrendering over 90% of its southern province. For the totality of the post-Slobo period, partition has been cultivated as the Serbs best chance like a crumb thrown to a starving man. And starving might not be an exaggeration, since Western governments' "suggestion" to US/EU capital that trade with Serbia is not in their best interests is the primary cause of Serbia's economic condition. A less formal but effective version the Cuban embargo.
Simultaneously, EU membership was sold with the assistance of US' DS quislings as the only hope for economic salvation. Of course the price for that membership was always clear: Kosovo. Kissinger's progeny understood that Serbian people would never accept such a satanic bargain, unless they were thoroughly worn down AND felt like they were salvaging something.
So hear we are. Partition noise is building, especially out of the new coalition. It would not surprise me if western intelligence played a role in the last election; if only Nixon can go to China, only a Radical can give away Kosovo. Suggesting that the split/dissolution of the Radicals was part of that plan is a bit paranoid even for me, but it sure was convenient.

If an agreement is reached as far as the status of Kosovo whether be partition or not, the Kumanovo Agreement is not important and would probably be repealed. However that will not happen until a deal has been reached not before. As far as the SAA it is in the hands of individual states it is up to Belgrade to work with each individual that has not implemented it to do so.
Any reversal of agreements already reached will be a green light to any countries that are ready to recognize Kosovo but waiting to see the outcome of dialogues to go ahead and do so. Such an act would be far more detrimental to Serbia than any other party.

Partition could be a quick and easy solution, but would it open a can of worms? For instance, would Serbia be willing to exchange southern areas where Albanians live in significant numbers? Also, would we see a strong push to redraw borders in neighboring countries? In theory, territorial adjustments throughout the region to accommodate disgruntled minorities (or majorities, depending on one's perspective) would go a long way to bringing sustainable peace, but in practice, maybe such adjustments are unwise. In the Balkans, where you have countless ethnic minorities spread across all countries, the demands for border adjustment could be virtually unlimited...not to mention the precedent that could be set for the rest of the world.

If Euro America is Honest This Time about wanting Genuine Negotiations, then they will need to prove it by Fully Implementing the SAA Agreement, because all Options Must And Are on the table in Genuine Negotiations.

The SAA Agreement is needed, because the Option of Serbia joining the European Union Must be on the table.

Euro America does not want the partition of Kosovo, because the Kumanovo Agreement cannot be sustained under such conditions, but the Option of partition Must be on the table.

Talks should not resume until the Kumanovo Agreement is scrapped, and the SAA Agreement is Implemented, because all Genuine Negotiations have all possibilities on the table.

The current Tadic Agreement should be taken to the Constitutional Court to see if it Legal, but the Tadic Agreement should be shelved even if it is Constitutional, because this will prove Serbia’s genuineness in wanting True Negotiations, because all Options Must the on the table.

Anything else will be Serbia recognizing all of Kosovo sooner or later, and having no SAA Agreement, and having the Kumanovo Agreement in place.

The Tadic Agreement needs to firstly be shelved, then if must be debated, and then it needs to be amended, and a United Nations General Assembly Motion based this comment should be put forward to the United Nations General Assembly.

What is this guy talking about, territorial adjusment? Does he really know the meaning? Serbia has to recognise formally Kosovo independence first....and any solution should be found in reciprocity principle.....
