'So remind us who you voted for?'.
Actually I'm not standing for office and I wouldn't tell people here to vote for a party.

What I will do though is to point out hypocrisy. For example one would expect for say LDP to abolish the Kosovo ministry, one might even think that DS would go along with such a move (although they didn't in power).

However, what we have here is a party that claims it is principled - DSS keeping quiet on the downgrading of the Kosovo issue, whilst seeing if they could do a deal with SNS and get their hands on some power. Now that its clear that won't happen, they speak out.

That is DSS the party that speaks out on Kosovo more than any other party, DSS the party that claims to stick to its principles above all else. Then you have a party - SNS, led by those who claimed they were patriots and would die before handing over Kosovo, who are downgrading the issue and whose top priority is EU membership.

It goes to show how much the Kosovo issue has and continues to be abused by all Serbian politicians - I may not agree with the right wing parties extreme positions, but after years of lecturing us, their behaviour is a joke.

So remind us who you voted for? You already said in another thread you did not vote for DS. From what I have seen, you hate and constantly bash DSS, SPS, SNS, Dveri, URS, SRS. So who does that leave? LDP, JS, SPO, PUPS, LSV? Are you really thinking people should listen to what you have to say when you voted for one of those parties (and it was most likely LDP, LSV, SPO)?

'It does not matter whether it is office or ministry! Important thing is how it will work and whether to be used!'

And like I said it will be headed by the Communist Vulin. And Vulin will not head a ministry and Kosovo will not have a minister to represent it at meetings of high government officials. As such Vulin will have less power to represent the interests of Kosovo (Serbs). The government will be able to ignore the interests of Kosovo Serbs more easily, some of whom on the ground won't be able to reach senior officials any more.

Vulin will also have less influence due to constraints on his budget due to the downgrading.

Its very obvious what is going on here.

"A spokesman for the Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) says the party believes the next government should retain the Ministry for Kosovo.
This is what Serbs in the southern province want, Petar Petković told a regular news conference in Belgrade on Monday"

A Ministry for like 2% of the Serbs ? And who's going to pay for it - the Serbs in Kosovo ? A Ministry serving 2% of the people is a luxury even for much richer countries, let alone a third-world country like Serbia...

Petar speaks as if Serbia's resources are unlimited... he probably needs to give a read to the section on the right of this page labeled "Economic crisis in Serbia" and the news from yesterday that 10000 Serbian children eat only one meal per day.

Pretty funny really - after a brief flirtation and various compliments from DSS officials to SNS, they have been told they will not be included in the new government.

All of a sudden DSS has a lot to say about the downgrading of the Kosovo issue with the removal of ministry status and the creation of a Kosovo office headed by the communist Vulin with reduced powers.

Yeah, and DSS will continue with the fairy stories about prinicples...

Ministry, office, department, whatever... its all the same. This is merely a cosmetic change so the new government can say 'look we cut the number of ministries'.
