Dardan, according to you, most of the Kosovo albanian population had to die from dehydration before 1999.
(passing by, 22 July 2012 16:39)

Not at all. That time Albanians were most regular residents on paying the bills.

I would love to see Serbia cut of the temporary institutions in Priština from water supply, since most water in our southern province comes from north of Priština. unfortunately Serb politics are too responsible to act in such a way, at the moment.

but these criminals should be treated as what they are, instead of asking the WHO for help.

Serbia, take care of your southern province!

"And how stupid can you be to expect Serbian ambulances to give in to nationalists request"

i love this, nationalist demand. and serbs asking that they carry Republic of Serbia license plates is not nationalistic is it? no no, that's their basic human rights. it shows you how much this hospital truly cares for its patients by politicizing their treatment.

I dont care what the pro Alb posse here has to say, I really dont have anything against Albanian people or of Albanian decent, but man this modern day harassment and discrimination in 21st century Europe. For all those arguing to respect the authorities in Pristinas demands, do you really believe that Kosovo is a functioning democracy? I mean really.

And how stupid can you be to expect Serbian ambulances to give in to nationalists request by Kosovo Albanians to use the license plates of the non-recognized and self-proclaimed state of Kosovo?
(Comm. Parrisson, 22 July 2012 19:57)

They can use UNMIK plates (which is in charge in Kosovo), unless they want to play games with the life of their patients in which case they don't have anybody to blame for that other then themselves.

Hospitals' mission it to treat patients not to play politics. They should leave that to the politicians from political forums, not from hospital rooms and ambulances.

"Health institutions south of the Ibar River have warned that they have been having trouble transporting medicines and other medical supplies due to the fact that the Priština authorities banned the use of the Serbian license plates"

Not sure if I'm missing something, but where is the causal relationship between what's described after "due to the fact" and what's described before it ?!

According to the news story itself it's certain license plates that are banned, not the transporation of medicines.

It is sickening how some criticize everything that is done by kosovar authorities, and yet I will join this time others criticizing the same kosovar authorities, but for a different reason. Why in Gods name did or do you allow people whomever they are for decades to withhold their payments.
I hear that this was a way to try and make serbs accept the independence, but that is wrong. Bills need to pay, as for the independence of Kosovo it is an unchangeable fact like many other "unilaterally declared Independence", to give you one example: the declaration of Independence of USA from GB.
Same people will always question the above, but than so what? You cant make everybody happy, not even all the members of your family.

you know, in ex Yugoslavia if Albanians didn't pay utility bills they'd end up in prison. no such penalty exists now for the most privileged minority in the world

Whenever somebody insists that Serbia stops funding the parallel structures in Kosovo, one of the first "arguments" we hear is that the money is needed to keep hospitals running. Now, we have the case that an they did not do so and this for longer time, despite calls to balance their outstanding bills.

So the question is allowed what happens to that money. Paying bills for hospitals appears not to be the reason. Are those 2500 agents from MUP, the Veselinovic clan and barricades really that expensive that the annual 600 Mio Euro are not enough?

I'm sorry but cutting off the water supply to a hospital is inexcusable no matter what the reason is. You are putting the lives of the sick and vulnerable at risk. You don't know that, dardo. How about when albanci didn't pay their utility bills for decades to the state of Yugoslavia, was that OK, dardo? There should have been at a warning to this health center, if indeed water bills were unpaid. You don't just turn water off to a place that provides healthcare, for God's sake. What kind of people are you?
(winston, 22 July 2012 17:55)

Not true at all Winston. Reality was that ; K-Albanians had to ask their neighbors to borrow money if they did not have, when the collector for utilities came to their door. Or else, they were arrested, supposedly they are separatist and by not paying their bills, were considered the enemies of Yugo.

This is another example of how criminal and primitive the authorities in Pristina are. Imagine cutting off water supplies to health care institutions putting people's lives at risk for the purposes of hatred and extortion. Obviously, Pristina is laughable if they think they are even remotely prepared to be European. They aren't even civilized yet.

Wow, you never seize to amaze me B92. There is not even one word in the article explaining why the Kosova authorities all of a sudden decided to cut off the water supply? You call this journalism? Why don't you tell us the reason behind this action? As a professional news agency you surely must have called the water company to hear their side of the story? I honestly am very eager to know the reason behind this action?

Here is my guess: The Caglavica infirmary, after repeated request from the water company to pay their water bills, refused to do so because they do not recognize the Kosova authorities and therefore don't need to pay for the water.
