"the war could have lasted longer"
No, actually it didn't. The USAAF, after the disastrous bombing raids of 1943, halted strategic bombing of Germany until the P-51 Mustang showed up. By this point in time momentum had already shifted against the Germans. By summer 1943 the Germans had been pushed back to the Dnieper. German production in 1944 increased during the bombing campaigns due to the importing of millions of Slavic forced labourers. By that point, the Germans had been pushed out of all but Belarus and the Baltic countries. The bombing actually did very little, it was material supplies to the USSR that helped.

"who truly cares about human lives and rights this is US."

No. The United States has propped up brutal dictators that align with national interests such as Saddam Hussein.

"US doesnt need to kill anyone if everyone plays fair, and competes fairly in business and other affairs."

That the US will make war on people in order to force open their markets is pathetic and an injustice.

"US justice upon the world might not be the perfect one, but it is way better than Russian and Chinese one."

Like how it took the lead in funding the breakup of Jugoslavija? How it backed Izetbegovic and Franjo Tuđman during the attempt to illegally seize power in Bosnia and ethnically cleanse the Krajina? How Germany sold East German arms illegally to Croatia despite there being a ban on selling arms?

Your post is bad and you should feel bad.

If you truly believe any of this stuff you have written then I pity you. The US attacked Afghanistan without UN approval on the grounds that the Taliban were protecting Osama Bin Laden as he was the mastermind for 9/11. Osama said that he was not involved, but whoever did it he wishes them well – now they attack without any proof but that’s what you call justice. Why doesn’t the US sign up to the world criminal court if it’s interested in justice???? What they dojnt like the UN because it does not play their game, then why is the US a member of the UN? Leave.
Human rights; Abu Grahid prison; water boarding, rendition and the human rights violations pile up one on top of another.
Well what is the west waiting for? Attack Syria now????? No, big mouths like the US need deep pockets and that is why they will do absolutely nothing but look stupid.

For all people here who are in favour of western intervention in Syria because of human rights abuses bla bla bla, you really all are so God damn stupid. Are you all so blind, or just delusional? Of all the many places in the world where there is oppression and other abuses, yet somehow the west picks to intervene in countries with oil rich territory or those of strategic importance. Lets think about the many crimes in Africa, ignored, and why? because Africa (excluding the Arab north) has nothing to offer the west. Now lets think about Saudi Arabia, no doubt the nation with the worst human rights record and democracy statistics, all things the west claims to care about, while these issues are no secret Saudi Arabia is the biggest friend of the west in the Middle East. Iraq is in the hands of the west, after Gaddafi Libya is as well, now they want Syria to fall into chaos in which they can move in to assert influence, and the next stop is Iran. Im no lover of these nations but what is going on here is obvious, if you people really believe the west genuinely wants to help, well then you are all idiots and quite frankly I feel sorry for your poor outlook on these issues.

The US should keep out of it. The US should have kept out of WW1 and WW2. Who cares if the Nazis take over. The US should have kept out of Berlin. Who cares if Berliners have to go communist. The cold war didn't have to have US troops in Europe. It would have been cheaper to keep them at home. The US should leave the UN - it is not worth the bother or the money.

If the US does intervene, it should do it at arms length. No troops - just bombs and nukes.

The US is the world's policeman, but no one is grateful. There are too many American lives lost in these interventions. The little troublesome countries should fester in their own mess. And who cares about these self-serving minorities. Every country has nationalists who will spit on the US in order to support their own small-minded bigotries.

They are not worth American lives.

It is precisely because of this, why US and US allies, should interviene unilateraly. If US waits for a wider consesus thousands will die. UN is never gona agree on anything. China and Russia care more about sticking it to the US rather than solving real problems. US should take the lead as it always has, and just like it did in Bosnia and Kosovo it should do it it's way. Did the international community have a collective responsibility to protect Rawanda when over 800 thousand people where hacked to death by machetes? or how about the hundreds of thousands of civilians who died in Iraq thanks to US sanctions?Spare us from your crocodile tears!!
(so sad, too bad, 20 July 2012 15:39)

Your logic is poor at best. If US for example would not have bombed Germany during the WWII and kill civilians and even kids in the process, the war could have lasted longer and thousands more would have died. If there is a nation whose interest is truly aligned with world justice, progress, human rights, etc and who truly cares about human lives and rights this is US. US doesnt need to kill anyone if everyone plays fair, and competes fairly in business and other affairs. US is competetive, resourseful, and very productive, thus naturally it's interested in order and justice in the world so it can do business and not wars.

During the Iraq sanctions more children and innocent died than in the present war.

I am sad to say that Syria would be in a better shape with a war than being blasted by embargos of the Stalinist UN, being led by the current Judeo Bollsheviks from DC USSA.

Just look at the ridiculous number of extremist communist that they prop up to keep the poor even more in the gutter with their gutter regulations and licences for hairdressers, dog catchers and lemonade stands for kids, simply bloodsucking evil.

Ban said he was "deeply disappointed" by the Security Council vote on Thursday. "The hour is grave. The international community has a collective responsibility to the Syrian people," he said in a statement.

The UN cannot do anything if there are international forces which protect the Assad regime. So the killing and the civil war will continue for some more weeks or months. In the end, it's more than obvious that Assad cannot survive politically after all that happened and he's bearing responsibility for. If new/more sanctions and/or more 'UN observres' would be helpful is doubtful, too.

the political shit fight gets nasty. The turkish F4 was shot down from Syrian sources by russian crewed sam systems and was a test by the nato powers to check the effectiveness of the syrian air defense system.
The bun fight of where the plane was etc tells the story. If in international designated areas, a huge political/international action would have resulted, but guess what, none to the contrary
