I guess Navin and Steve B have never heard of people like Ceda Jovanovic and Vuk Draskovic. Or maybe Ceda and Vuk are really just Albanians or Croats in disguise.

"just because I choose not to toe the nationalist line"
Nenad
Right there you revealed yourself. Not being nationalist...yet you say that Kosovo needs to be protected.

Can't they start using water tankers to water the crops?

Outside of cosmopolitan Belgrade I think Voivodina would be a great place for all foreigners to visit.I think I will visit myself one day soon it seems like such an incredible place with its multi ethnic character.

I see, so just because I choose not to toe the nationalist line, I simply must be an Albanian posing as a Serb. That's cultural diversity for you, folks.

No, because you are an Albanian/Croat that comes on this site to troll as a Serb named "Nenad". That's why you aren't a Serb.

Montenegro is also predominantly Serbian (there's no such thing as a Montenegrin ethnicity) but it was still prized away from Serbia by the West for geopolitical reasons.
Vojvodina could be no different and I know of some naive Serbs there who talk of secession, as if they will suddenly become rich and free. They won't, as any Montenegrin who isn't asleep or afraid to speak will tell you.
The Serbian Government must, and hopefully does, understand that Vojvodina is the richest part of the state. If they ignore the current needs of that province then all of Serbia will suffer, not only in terms of food but also, in time, the final demise of Serbia itself and its confinement to what it was when it gained autonomy from the Ottomans - Belgrade and Šumadija.

nenads, are you trying to be funny, if so, I don't get your kind of humor. Let funny people be funny, you stick to sarcasm. In any case, Why are all of you Albanians so interested about Vojvodina? It is an over-whelmingly Serbian province, that is not going to handed over to Hungary, or Austria, or Croatia, or anyone. It may achieve more autonomy from BG, and I think that would be good for the citizens of Vojvodina, but don't get your panties in a knot, it will remain Serbian land for generations to come, certainly your lifetime.

And the government's response: "Sorry, can't help. 100 percent focused on regaining our southern province, which we effectively lost 13 years ago. Signs are good that we might get at least a sliver of it back sometime in the not-too-near future, though. Until then, please sit tight."
