No Rote I didn't vote for the G17 party who are part of the goverment you support!

It has become clear to everybody what the new government's policy priorities are - they are membership of the EU, improving relations with European countries and the US and Kosovo (high degree of autonomy within Serbia) - exactly the same foreign policies as the previous government. You can trust Dacic and Nikolic if you want to but people in Serbia have see it all before.

You didn’t vote for DS ? Was it G17 or you just were away ? What do you expect when they have no government yet ? There are drastic changes inside the elite. And even if the main trend remains the same some of them will be fired and some in. Those are personal tragedies and triumphs when the fate of the state becomes a second rate problem. And it’s not the Serbian way for it happens all over the world. Who could imagine that the SS (secretary of state) will meet and tell compliments to the ihvan-ul-muslimin ( Muslim Brothers ) ? Let’s wait to where it all leads coz nothing is evident yet.

Why so desperate ? I do trust Toma and still believe in the happy end. I have read his several interviews given in Russia last 3 years. He is a big Serb with a lot of problems on his shoulders. Just be patient and hopefully we’ll witness changes for better. There’s nothing we can judge yet and nothing to be disappointed. It is Dacic who has the golden share and thus is responsible for the government crisis. I believe the new coalition will be better for Serbia. They already have Russia in their pocket and worry not to make enemies with the west. In the middle of Europe it’s quite natural so let us wait for the real politics.

"Many officials visited Russia both before and after the elections and there have been speculations that Moscow encouraged the forming of the new alliance on the Serbian political scene."

Somehow, that sounds a bit more likely to me than the speculation 'the west' 'encouraged' the forming of a government without the DS. But I still think things are much simpler: Unlike DS, SNS was willing to step back and give the most influence to Dacic and the SPS, and that's why this 'new alliance' was formed - whatever the reason for this willingness be like.

'Dačić tried to convince German officials this week in Berlin that he was ready to improve communication with Priština but without bringing Serbia to a position to recognize Kosovo’s independence.

Moscow, usually a favorite destination for many Serbian politicians, has been on the back burner lately.'

Hmm looks like its becoming very obvious what this government's priorities are - get the support of the west with concessions. What are those concessions going to be I wonder for a show of 'good will'?

Gotta love these guys, the reason why I didn't vote for DS in the last election was because of their mistaken policies. It seems as if this government is copying those same policies.

I knew it even before the election, no matter who 'wins' an election in Serbia they will never divert from their loyalty to the west, the west is so deeply ingrained in Serbian politics that this is inevitable. Vucic along with Nikolic were high ranking members of the SRS, an anti-NATO and anti-EU party, while there are no overt plans to join NATO, the fact that Vucic is having meetings in Washington DC is making anything clear. Vucic knew that if he was ever going to have power then he would have to change his colours. Anyone who changes so rapidly their political stance is nothing more than a political whore. I would pray for a coalition of national unity of some sort which would rise up and kick these swines into the dirt, otherwise Serbia is doomed as an independent nation. So low has Serbia sunk since the glorious days when Serbia was respected under King Petar I Karadjordjevic and his victory in WWI, then Serbia was a nation which was respected by most as was its independence, now Serbia is a tool, I pray to God that this will change one day.
