it is only a question of time. and our dear k-albanian friends know that. and you, "Glenn" ...should know that too.

Absolutely, it's only a question of time of how long 1244 will be in force thus preventing Serb forces to return to Kosovo, except for an "agreed number". I don't see that number being agreed or 1244 repealed during our lifetime... But if you think otherwise good luck with that; let us know if and when that happens :)

Honeyed words from Ban, to be treated with grave suspician. Do we detect a slight patronizing tone? Representatives in the UN are there to represents their countries in the UN and not to represent the UN to their countries. If the Serbs have assumed a leadership role in the UN, it can only be because other UN members desire Serbia and its interests to influence the UN more, not less.

“His obligation as a UN secretary general is to respect the status it (Kosovo) has in the UN, which means that Kosovo has not been recognized as an independent state by the UN,” he pointed out

EUREKA... what a discovery Ivica made that an entity has not bee recognized by the UN. I wonder where has Ivica been in the last 60 years ? No entity has ever been or will ever be recognized by the UN because http://www.un.org/en/members/about.shtml

once again an Albanian pretends to be a "western" supporter of the greater albanian cause... well, I think you shouldn´t worry about who does know Serbia and/or who does care about it. the less the others care the better it is!
So "Glenn" or Bekim, Hashim or Driton or whatever your name is... I just hope you are right ( although I have heavy doubts )with your amateur analysis. =)

because in ´99 the US and their "allies" had the chance, a narrow timeframe to carve KiM out of Serbia, but it showed that they were not able to accomplish their evil doings... and since they were not brave enough to fight Serbia on the ground after 78 days of merciless bombing with only 15 destroyed tanks, they agreed to certain conditions that made it quite unlikely for the K-albanians to ever get what they so desperately dream of, well some of them, not all of course.

and since this chance has not been taken, they agreed to Kumanovo, to UNSCR 1244 and there it all stopped, in regard to the US-american effort.

who knows either they didn´t expect the Serbs to be so sturdy or they simply underestimated their resolve, it doesn´t matter actually. what counts is that the situation is "frozen". and sooner or later, Serbia will have the opportunity again...

it is only a question of time. and our dear k-albanian friends know that. and you, "Glenn" ...should know that too.

ps:interested non-albanians usually do not make these mistakes like our albo-friends, so these cameo-attempts are senseless.

Serbian PM-Designate Ivica Dačić has stated that the upcoming visit of the UN head is of “top political importance” and that he expects Ban to act in accordance with the province’s status in the UN during his visit to Kosovo.

“His obligation as a UN secretary general is to respect the status it (Kosovo) has in the UN, which means that Kosovo has not been recognized as an independent state by the UN,” he pointed out.

“I expect him to act in accordance with it,” Dačić added.

I didn't know that the head of the UN answered to Dacic... I never cease to be amazed at the over-inflated sense of ego the Serbian government and its officials display. Most people in the world don't even know where Serbia is. Of those who do know, most don't care because they know nothing about Serbia. And yet Serbia feels that they can tell the head of the UN what to do?

When asked by a correspondent of the Kosovo TV to comment on Jeremić's statement that “Kosovo would become a UN member state only over his dead body“, Ban said that Jeremić had not delivered that statement in his capacity as the newly elected president of the UN General Assembly, but as an official of the Serbian government.

“The UN membership is a matter that would be decided upon based on the recommendations of the Security Council and adopted by the General Assembly,” Ban explained.

Yes, Jeremic's statement was totally unnecessary. It's not up to him to decide about new UN members, but like Ban explained, the UNSC gives the recommendation for a new member (which includes that the 5 veto powers agree to it/don't have objections), and only then the UNGA decides/votes.

I am really amused about how our dear k-albanian friends are trying to interpret the simple phrase "six countries and kosovo" into some kind of acceptance of KiM as a "state".

I know that this is desperately needed for their bittered souls, but nevertheless it is amusing me, if it´s not even generally a ridiculous approach to put so much interpretation into simple phrases...

as for mr.Jeremić, he´s presiding for a year. and that drives our k-albanian friends so crazy that they feel the need to belittle him, his role and furthermore his influence within the UN?

isn´t that just delicious? and doesn´t it say a lot more about them and their real feelings than all their foolish comments?

Everyone in the Balkans is proud of Vuk Jeremic. He has not only done a lot for Serbia's international image, but helped immensely with the relations that Serbia has with the Albanians in its Southern province. Keep up the good work, Vuk, we're counting on you.
