Do you for a moment think that Croatia will be left to its own devices?? If the Croatian government cannot convince the Serbs to return they will have to pay compensation – it’s what your previous governments have signed off on; just ask Stipe Mesic. If you can’t met that financial burden then you lose territory as compensation; why do you think Nikolic mentioned Vukovar??? The Croat population is falling faster than the Serbs; in fact in a matter of 10 years you will have more old people than young ones. This is a European problem not just Serbia.
The vacant territory that was once lived in by Serbs will not be vacant for long after the Serb refugee matter is worked out. Once under Brussels control, and that is very soon, the EU will fill all vacant lands with refugees from other EU members. No mate Germany or the Netherlands will not creak at the seams with all these people while parts of Croatia remain empty. The Croats don’t know what is waiting for them, but this time if they lift a finger against these newcomers- from Africa, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran etc- and see what happens to Croatia.

Or maybe it's upgraded to the general state level? As we can read in other news, the SNS has a (secret) plan for Kosovo which was already discussed with the world powers and influential countries.
(Comm. Parrisson, 15 July 2012 14:56)

I'm itching to heat this earth-shattering plan :)

Comm. Parrisson thats very hard to believe. Have you ever heard of ministries being abolished in western countries because the issue is being upgraded?

When there is a policy priority a ministry (if it doesn't exist) may be created, for one to be abolished suggests the issue is being downgraded.

Besides, the news article you quoted the SNS official states 'We want to allow Kosovo Albanians the widest possible autonomy but we cannot accept that Kosovo is an independent state' - if that is the plan, then how is it any different from the previous government?

"PM-Designate Ivica Dačić says that the future of the Ministry for Kosovo will be discussed in the next several days."

If Serbia will continue like that, maybe there's need for a Ministry for Vojvodina soon?

"Unbelievable, if the Ministry for Kosovo is to be closed in any state that is sending a clear message that the issue is being downgraded. "

I agree that the number of ministries should be reduced of course, however, the government elect is beginning to send signals on its Kosovo position. I'm beginning to wonder whether they should call in LDP as a coalition partner as well.

Each and every single day belgrade is inching towards recognizing its neighbor. Today is abolishing the Kosovo ministry, tomorrow it's going to abolition the parallel structures, the day after that is agreeing to the non-status part of Ahtisaari package, etc.

Tomislav the reason your Croatia is "blessed" with no minorities is because your Nazis killed them all in 1941 to 1945. And as for leaving Kosovo alone, how can you "leave" your own country alone? Im sorry for the stupid mistake our King made in sacrificing our lives to liberate that hole you call Croatia back in 1918. Nevertheless if it wasnt for us youd still be Austria Hungary's slaves...oops, actually, you still are....

I don't understand you serbs. Why don't you leave Kosovo alone? Why do you want to keep that place? It overflooded with undemployed and hostile albanains. Many have even adopted the fanatical saudi view of islam called Wahhabism. Today they want Kosovo, tomorrow, with thier very high birth rates they will want to take half of Serbia and beyond. By recognizing Kosovo you may even be able to contain the spread of destructive albanianism. Croatia is blessed not to have any minorities to take into consideration. The few serbs that remain have adapted to croatian way of life and the few gypsies do not constitute a major problem. I think there is less then 70% serbs in all of Serbia. You minoreties is your Achilles' heel.
