Why are Serbs so angry at Tadic? You guys voted him into office on consequetive occasions, and still allow him to walk around Beograd with his head held up high. Our country is stuffed, the last strong leader we had was Milosevic and Serbs gave him up like the dogs that they are for a "better" future. Serbs destroyed their own country and its a shame we all have to pay for it. God Help Us!

How do you know what the SS told Bush? Where you there? Perhaps you should study your comment a little closer. Is this an admission of Bush being amongst thieves?
(sj, 9 July 2012 00:04)

There is video of him taking it off and putting it in his pocket. Bush says in his book Decision Points that the Secret Service advised him to take the watch off or someone may take it and they didnt want to chase and beat down an Albanian over a $50 wristwatch. I wouldnt say I'm claiming the Albanians are thieves. Oddly the Albanians treated Bush like the Beatles or some huge celebrity and it was possible they would of snatched it to have a souvenir, just like if a rockstar entered a crowd in any country. No country in the world treated Bush as well as Albania. It made news here because they were the only people in the world at the time that liked the guy. It made the news because it was so strange the way he was treated, like a King or something, when at the time most of the world wasnt a fan of Mr. Bush.

The watch wasnt worth anything anyway, it was a $50 Timex watch that millions of people wear everyday.

Not thieves, starstruck behavior.

The British Queen recently shook the hands of the former leader of the Irish Republican Army (IRA)this was a hard thing to do as the IRA murdered one of her relatives during the late 1970's. I think Tadic's move is the right thing to do. Thats all I shall say.

And yes it is a big lie that Albanians stole George Bush's wristwatch, the secret service directed him to take it off so it wouldnt get stolen.

Tadic had plenty of chances to shake hands with Thaqi. Yet, he chose to do it after he lost the elections. I think it's a brilliant move by Tadic.

Some more food for some characters here: not only Tadic shook hands with Thaci, he also chose the table of Turkey to do this. What does this mean?
For dessert: this is a preview of what will happen in the next elections when the DS win.

(Peggy, 8 July 2012 15:45)

Yeah, you are right. What is he thinking? Dacic being responsible for the deaths of thousands of people when he served under Milosevic, and Thaci who is only suspected of crimes without even a shred of evidence provided so far.

Yes I am. Both were politicians in a war which they both supported and consequently people died. Both have wronged. I'd compare them to Bush and Blair too. All are/ were evil warmongers with blood on their hands!

Now that Tadic has shaken hands with the very person who has Serbian blood on his hands, makes Tadic have Serbian blood on his hands too.
Apart from Jovanovic, we could not have a bigger traitor.
Hope Serbian people can now see who they believed in and who they voted for in the last election.
I suppose Tadic just wants to make his kids happy because after all they too are Croatian according to him. So he can't possibly be a fully committed Serb when he acknowledges that his kids aren't.

Just wondering how long a Croatian president would last if he admitted to the same thing.

Whoever wanted to learn the truth on what happened with President's Bush wristwatch in Tirana could see that, could see the video in YouTube showing that he has removed his wristwatch before going to shake hands with the crowd.
However, due to jealousy most of our Serb apologists here want to believe the opposite. To make the matters worst this is done with the support of B92. I tried many times to post the link of that video, but unfortunately it did not get through the administrator's filter.

As I told you earlier, if this handshake is, to you, "historic" ("significant event") that affects "all parties" -- well, ironically I'm inclined to agree -- it should affect "all parties" who shook their hands ie. Thaci and Tadic who no longer represents the Serbian government.

Sure, when they hold regional meetings the reps of Serbia and Kosovo* should at least shake hands out of courtesy if nothing else. I can't imagine why people would make a mountain out of a molehill over that.

Even if it takes another 500 years like under the Ottomans, where countless generations of Serbs listened to our magnificient Guslari and vowed to avenge the Kosovo heroes of 1389 and finally succeded in 1912 we will succeed again to free it,this time forever!

Absolutely, you can keep in your heart whatever you want for however long you wish – Kosovo’s independence was not about ripping Kosovo out of your heart, but ripping it out of Serbia’s control with the help of UNSC Resolution 1244.

I agree with you here that China, Russia & co. are blocking Kosovo to be part of Serbia since 1244 keeps out of Kosovo the Serbian forces.

Be sure of one thing,no matter how much you bribe some of our corruptest politicians,no matter how often you repeat your Goebbels propaganda,no matter what you say we Serbs WILL NEVER EVER ACCEPT the stealing and occupation of our southern province!

This myth has been debunked a long time ago. George Bushes watch was never stolen.White House spokesman Tony Snow said "Bush's watch was not stolen by someone in the crowd. "The president put it in his pocket and it returned safely home," Snow said Tuesday."

Also, he had the same watch on in Bulgaria the following day of his trip. Saying George Bushs watch was stolen by Albanians is like saying Serbs never committed the largest act of Genocide since WWII in Srebernica. All the facts prove otherwise:)

First of all, I was not surprised that Tadic shook hand with this character. Second, when he shook his hand he did that as a President of Democratic Party not as President, so now we know what DS members are supporting. Third, I was surprised that Tadic didn't offer his apologies for giving Kosovo to this fellow, so easily since this move is something that tells me he had some kind of deal with Tachi. Fourth, I always new Tadic was and is against interests of Serbian people and with this hand-shaking he deserves to be prosecuted as traitor. This is my humble opinion and has nothing to do with the same opinion of other millions of Serbian people.

How do you know what the SS told Bush? Where you there? Perhaps you should study your comment a little closer. Is this an admission of Bush being amongst thieves?
