To Kosovo must back Serbian police / army according to point 4 of Resolution 1244. Only they can protect serbian citizens in the province.
(Niklot - Poland, 3 July 2012 17:10)
Yes, there is still some land mines left to find, a couple more guards at the border crossing, a few there to liason between Eulex and the people, and a few to maintain a presence at patrimonial sites, gonna do a lot of "protecting" of the Serbian people. Those are the only duties they can do should they ask nicely to do them and Kfor agrees.
Notice none of them are police or "protecting" duties.

Asked if the decision might be a signal for the countries which still hesitate whether to recognize Kosovo, he said: "This also is their goal. The message to the countries which have not recognized Kosovo is that Kosovo has matured and can be an independent state, so that they should accept and recognize its independence as soon as possible. This is a very important signal," Bogdanović concluded.

Serbia is in for a big shock, when Egypt(Founder of NAM) recognizes Kosova in short future.

Yes, according to 1244 an “agreed number” can return. Let us know when that number is agreed :)

As seen last week, clearly KFOR and EULEX cannot guarantee anything for Serbs in the rest of Kosovo. They were nowhere to be seen. And in the north, they are the occupiers who need to leave so that Serbia can once again have full control over its own territory. The international forces in Kosovo are part of the enemies of Serbs.

I’m surprised that Russia is now considered an enemy of the Serbs (because it was Russia & co. that sent KFOR there).

Bogdanović added that "obviously the countries which recognized the independence of Kosovo want to withdraw as soon as possible since they realized that the so-called state cannot continue to exist in such form."

No, they only realized that it's a hopeless case to establish some basic democratic standards, laws and European values in a place like Kosovo.

Goran - KFOR / Eulex - are proalbanian forces!! They will not protect Kosovo Serbs. They will protect albanian authorities.

Kosovo can be a fully independent country, like Dacic can stick to a weight watcher's program, or Thaci be a member of neighborhood a drug-free zone. There is such place as a functioning Kosova state, period. A cut in resources from Brussels would be a better explanation why the overseer office is closing, but it is not because Pristina is all of a sudden capable of doing something on their own, besides running their crime syndicates. I just wish that all the players in KiM were more honest. The Serbs should say, we will never give up Kosovo and honor its independence, but we will never rule over it again either. And the Albanians should say, we are trying to get away with taking Kosovo away from Serbia, even though we are too corrupt, and incapable of ever running a country on our own. The US/EU should say, yes, we know the Kosovo KLA Albanians were terrorists, and we have set them up in power, and we are trying to present an image like an independent Kosovo is making progress, but these thieving SOB's will never change, and they are sucking so much money out of us, that it is making Merkel's head spin. So better to give them independence and cut them loose. But we will leave KFOR there just in case. We don't really like the Serbs in KiM, but if they got slaughtered by the ex-KLA'ers, it would be horrible PR, especially during election an election year. I think that pretty much covers it.
