Serbian media "in worst situation since 2000"

The situation in the Serbian media is the worst since 2000, the results of the Media Sustainability Index (MSI) presented in Belgrade on Monday showed.

One fact after another is convincing me that Serbia is slowly but surely moving back towards the policies and practices of the 90s. This is bad news for Serbia and for the whole region.

Neither are you, Vincent. Media, unfortunately, is not the only thing that is heavily controlled by politics in Serbia. Only when politicians in Serbia do what they are supposed to do, run the country, and not own it, will it be a free society. I do not know how many years it will take to change that, but that is the only hope. Politicians have enslaved the citizens of Serbia, and use them as their own personal tools. One day, when the people have had enough, maybe the sticks will come out, and the politicians will get the message?
