"Actually Christians all over the Middle East are in a much worse position now that the legitimate governments have been toppled with the help of US and her allies ..."

Legitimate governments? You mean Gaddhafi in Lybia, or Mubarak in Egypt? Yes, very 'legitimate' they were - as legitimate as Assad in Syria who even inherited his 'legitimation' from his father. LOL.

The question and observation I have is whether this Turkish aircraft that was shot down by Syria was, in fact, an actual piloted RF-4E Reconnaissance aircraft as Turkey (NATO) has claimed??

I'm thinking it may very well have been something else altogether - the QF-4 UNMANNED Target Drone variant. The perfect way to provoke another incident to justify NATO aggression against Syria, don't you think?

Please check out my new article about this very suspicious "incident".

Iraq should start shooting down Turkish fighter planes too since they constantly invade Iraqi airspace and bomb Kurdish PKK targets.

Leonidas - once in a blue moon you bring up interesting theories, but this is not one of them. How you arrive to this conclusion is silly. Syrian Christians have nothing to do with this war or any further outside involvement. The topic of Syrian Christians is a non issue. You pulled that out of thin air supported by nothing.

Actually Christians all over the Middle East are in a much worse position now that the legitimate governments have been toppled with the help of US and her allies and more radical element like the "peace, democratic loving" protesters from Muslim Brotherhood are in charge. This is a horror show for the Christians of that region.

Hopefully Syria's air defenses are stellar - much stronger than Serbia's 1999 - since this would deter a NATO bombing. The only deterrent to NATO is an extremely strong air defense or nukes capable of reaching a NATO or NATO-client country.
No country deserves to be bombed by NATO, which targets civilians and civilian infrastructure with regularity.

On the contrary, the Syrian Orthodox Christians fear the unknown if the secular Syrian regime were to collapse. They only have to look at the fate of Christians in Iraq and recently Egypt as the basis for their fear.

At present, the situation at the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate in the old city of Damascus is reminiscent to the times of post 1955 at the Orthodox Patriarchate of Constantinople when thousands of Greeks were lynched by mobs of Muslim Turks. The same fate will await the Syrian Christians is Assad is toppled.

Syria didn't deny it for a second.
On the other hand Turkish president Abdullah Gul admitted plane was downed over Syrian territorial waters.

"It is routine for jet fighters to sometimes fly in and out over (national) borders ... when you consider their speed over the sea," Gul told reporters, stressing that such actions were not "ill-intentioned".

If it was ill-intentioned or not is subject to debate, given planes were flying at very high speed and low altitude, and they were in Syrian airspace for whole 13 minutes.

Not a great idea when it comes to any country, especially if their air defenses are on the edge, expecting some kind of Libya-style areal bombardment.

Syria apologized and allowed Turkish Navy and helicopters to join Syria in search of missing pilots.
If Turkish intentions are not "ill", they will now do what is customary - apologize to Syria for violation of its airspace and ease the tensions.
I somehow doubt this is what they will do.

an invasion which will result in genocide of Syrian Christians by Al Qaeda and complete Saudi control over the Middle East.

Mullah Erdogan is and has been playing a dangerous game with Syria. He’s been openly allowing passage of arms to an armed insurrection, which comes pretty close to being a state of undeclared war.His foreign minister Mr.Davutoglu has just admitted the plane downed in Syria was a spy flight. But Davutoglou failed to answer what was a Turkish military plane doing flying over Syrian territorial waters. Was this a deliberate effort to try and invoke article 5 of Nato's charter?

My own guess is that it was to test Syrian air defenses, that is why Turkey sent their oldest plane in the Syrian airspace. It was a calculated move by NATO,US and CIA puppet Turkey to pave the way for an invasion which will result in genocide of Syrian Christians by Al Qaeda and complete Saudi control over the Middle East.

B92 takes the day off on Sunday with the English version. Why do you guys bother posting in English, if you do not service the English side? You are so typical Serb too - not Western at all.
