What makes me shiver is not such absence of dignity by KPS (their report on this case reminds me so insistently of Peter Seller's inspector Clouseau). We all are used to this when it is up to Kosovo so called institutions.
I would rather draw the attention on the fact that "experts of the EU mission in Kosovo, EULEX, supported this finding". In other words the EU "rule of law" people are blatantly selling their ethos to obey unlawful Brussels interference (a police free from political interference is one EU advertised core values) and, in turn, Brussel techno-politician are showing their very idea of "rule of law" and "justice".
It is EU that must be put under the spotlight and blamed for all this. A new Nuremberg to prosecute many EU leaders is what I'd like to see in the close future. Then many things would return as they are supposed to be.

Bganon,
I simply drew a parallel of these two high profile killings.
===============================

Wrong, no comparison. One was called murder while the other suicide even though that no way it could be suicide.
Meaning, one was investigated and punished while the other will NEVER be investigated let alone punished.
What sort of a similarity do you see?

Bganon,
I simply drew a parallel of these two high profile killings.
To my logic, the comparison still stands apart from circumstantial details the events took place and the ridiculous
conclusions the system offers to the proletarians to digest, both in your country Serbia, and in Kosovo aswell.
All the best,

bganon

pre 11 godina

braveheart22 I didn't say that Djindjic's murderers were assasinated, I said they were killed. That is as accurate as one can be about that unless one was there to see what happened. In other words I have no way of knowing whether they were killed trying to resist arrest as the police claim, or whether they were killed after laying their weapons down.

I do know that the man who killed Djindjic and one of those organising were found guilty of his assasination and are serving lengthy prison sentences. With respect though I really don't see the connection between Djindjic and this guy's case, they are totally different.

braveheart22

pre 11 godina

@ Bganon,

Not trying to justify the political situation in Kosovo, but saying that Djindjics assassins were assassinated does not make it sound more legal or democratic.
Such cases put Serbia at the same rank with Kosovo, considering Serbia has a history of political and judicial stability whereas Kosovo does not, but thats a different story anyway.
Bye bye from Kosovo

Mendo I don't agree that Kos Albanians are not commenting because it has nothing to do with Serbia. For example I comment issues here that interest me and I expect most people do the same. And its not the stabbing thats the problem, its the finding by the Kosovo justice ministry supported by the US that it was suicide. I actually feel a bit humiliated on behalf of ordinary Kosovo Abanians who don't deserve this vision of 'justice'. And I don't blame them one bit for looking to Kurti.

Its more to do with embarrassment or helplessness. For the record I think its important to be counted to condemn these type of travesties, no matter if others might be enjoying the discomfort. Its more important to break the wall of silence than to worry about looking bad.

braveheart some fair points, but the assasination of Djindjic resulted in the arrest or killing of the culprits and the smashing of the Zemun mafia. Of course I'm not claiming that the mafia was defeated and its still an open question whether there was another factor that ordered the killing. However, thats a very different situation from alleged suicide by multiple stab wounds.

"Kosovo has become a place that rewards "getting away with the crime." Kosovar leaders accused by the war crimes tribunal in The Hague, EULEX and other EU entities of war crimes, money laundering, cronyism, and the harassment of journalists have received a hero's welcome at government supported rallies upon beating the charges

Actually this guy, if you Google him, was KLA Representative to the U.S., so I think they are claiming his death a "suicide" so as not to trigger some kind of vengeance with former KLA.

If he was a well-respected KLA man, then his former associates there might go after those who they believe or are named as suspects.

Hello there! I had not time to comment on this article and I can see Peggy and other Serbs are worried why we are not commenting. What's there to comment? At the end of the day this is a problem that has nothing to do with Serbia and it happens nearly everywhere in the world it's not the first and not gonna be the last stabbing/selfstabbing in the whole wide world. I can see some Serbs got happy about someone's misfortune.

We like to comment about the farytales about Serbian thinking Kosovo is " the heart of Serbia" and stuff like that.

People in Kosovo are aware of whats going on, but nobody wants to put on pressure and put their life in danger! No Media or NGO or political expert will go out and speak up about this, they are either part of the system or simply blackmailed.
I dont recall much being done in Serbia either when the serbian Prime minister was killed at daylight!
Every country has its mafia, the tragedy in Kosovo, is that mafia has its own country!

I don't blame no Kosovo Albanians for not commenting this news. Its a real embarrassment and actually a complete disgrace. The worst thing of all from that perspective is that the US, a supposed, 'civilising' or 'helping' factor supports the findings by the Kosovo Ministry.

Anybody with an ounce of sense will know that this suicide is not carried out like this. One has to ask the question what deal was hatched and who this guy offended. In any normal society the media, the political opposition, NGO's and interested experts would be out in force saying what a joke this finding is. Lets hope that in Kosovo some people are standing up and being counted, even if the Americans are covering up.

Hahaha, this statement by the KPS, regarding the death of this Albanian politician, is ludicrous. And the US backing this garbage out, is appalling.

Not one Albanian troll making an opinion on this story, are you all at a loss for words? Come on Nikolle, maybe one of your patented sarcastic comments can break the ice on this gruesome story? Or maybe Ben can insist that Belgrade recognize an independent Albanian KiM, so that we can find out how a person can actually stab himself 11 times, and why? What was the motive of his suicide? Did he lose a ton on the Croatia vs. Spain soccer game? I have so many questions, and not one regular Albanian commentator here is being of any assistance. I know, maybe he just didn't want to give up his Serbian plates? Somebody please stop me. Can one of the Albanian diaspora resolve this for us, you guys know the Albanian mentality better than us Serbs?

Asanaj was AT ONE TIME Thaci's "close associate", according to reports. I think this explains how this poor bastard was able to mutilate himself to death. Something I have never heard of happening in all my days. Can we possible get Dr. G's opinion on this matter? The deathly silence from Albanian trolls here is quite interesting. Maybe they also think that something is fishy just happened in the Newborn? I hope this sheds a little light why the Serbs in the North of KiM want nothing to do with Thaci and Pristina. If this minister can stab himself 11 times, then the Serbs in the North will have to stab themselves probably twenty times, to commit suicide. Thank God the US authoriities were there to clear this all up. It is very reassuring.

He must have been on drugs to be able to stab himself eleven times without collapsing. The pain of just a couple of times or even once in the right place in order to kill himself would've made it impossible to keep going. Eleven times! That is unbelievable. What did he do? He stabbed himself in the leg first just to see if it was going to hurt?
If he wanted to kill himself he would've stabbed himself in the right place the first time.
Who else finds this ridiculous?

Actually this guy, if you Google him, was KLA Representative to the U.S., so I think they are claiming his death a "suicide" so as not to trigger some kind of vengeance with former KLA.

If he was a well-respected KLA man, then his former associates there might go after those who they believe or are named as suspects.

"Kosovo has become a place that rewards "getting away with the crime." Kosovar leaders accused by the war crimes tribunal in The Hague, EULEX and other EU entities of war crimes, money laundering, cronyism, and the harassment of journalists have received a hero's welcome at government supported rallies upon beating the charges

... to exercise this influence over local actors, EULEX has tolerated corruption and sacrificed the rule of law. This reinforced the public perception that government posts are positions of privileges rather than positions of service."

Hahaha, this statement by the KPS, regarding the death of this Albanian politician, is ludicrous. What will they say next, that the kidnapped Serbs, taken to Northern Albania to the Yellow House, were actually organ donors?I can't take this crap from Pristina anymore. And the US backing this garbage out, is appalling.

My bad, I apologise I must have misinterpreted your comment. No Peggy you are not a thorn in my side and you are welcome to write comment as much as you like as long as B92 publishes them I have no problem with that.

braveheart22 I didn't say that Djindjic's murderers were assasinated, I said they were killed.

Bganon,
I simply drew a parallel of these two high profile killings.
To my logic, the comparison still stands apart from circumstantial details the events took place and the ridiculous
conclusions the system offers to the proletarians to digest, both in your country Serbia, and in Kosovo aswell.
All the best,

Wrong, no comparison. One was called murder while the other suicide even though that no way it could be suicide.
Meaning, one was investigated and punished while the other will NEVER be investigated let alone punished.
What sort of a similarity do you see?
