"Captain America"´s comment made my day! =)

just another naive k-albanian kiddie speaking out. writing down your wishful thinking is really great, since it brings us some entertainment though.

the mere thought that some Albanians really believe that they will "move ahead and leave Serbia behind" is so funny, it was just "priceless", if you know what I mean...

as for these laymen-genetics, so stupid - it couldn´t be worse actually.

is that what they teach you in those albanian "schools"?

wow... I think you will "move ahead" at the speed of light! =)

I understood, and agree with some, but You like so many others here seem to think that Serbia is the prize in the cracker jack box.
By the time Serbia could possible get into the EU, the situation in Kosovo will be vastly different. Kfor by the way is funded primarily through NATO and secondly by UN not the EU, Eulex will be gone in 2-3 years with maybe a skeleton staff similar to UNMIK left. That was my response.
As far as Serbia's value to the EU, it is far from economical. With Serbia at 1/3 the level of the rest of EU economically it will not be a contributor for some time and it will be a huge investment for the EU to bring it in, similar to the cost for Bulgaria and Romania. The prize foe EU is to keep from having a Russian island in the middle of its network.
So many here say for Serbia to stay neutral but that is probably not going to be a possibility. As the world continues to become global the small will be forced to become part of alliances, it is a different world from 10-15 years ago. With the exception of outerlying countries but most definitely for countries like Serbia that is surrounded by an alliance.

DSS/SNS have a chance to form a government and lead this country back to something they haven't had, and thats confidence and trust. Kostunica is a true patriot.. and Nikolic i know will not turn his back as Tadic has. I think its time for Serbia to weigh the options, and losing Kosovo is not worth the EU. I've always stated, who would want to join the EU with only ultimatums and no compromise? And that's what they've pinned on us.. do this, do that, capture your criminals (war hero's), abolish instituions in N Kosovo and Metohija..etc. The list doesn't end. Serbs need to step back.. declare neutrality, and forget about the bankrupt EU. All u Serbs that would rather concede it all, mine as well concede your identity as well, because soon they'll be trying to push us into further demise and ruin our identity further. Someone needs to wake up this country..

We all know what this means don't we? It means that Serbians better start to forget about considering themselves as "European". Serbians were never European anyway, but Russian by blood line, religion and culture. Serbians do not exhibit Western values nor do they cherish them. If they want a fighting chance in this world....they know they that have to recognize Kosova and to become a part of the European community. If they don't, it's going to be a sad future to see your neighbors all moving ahead of you while you regress back to your Russian masters. Imagine having to explain to your kids when they grow up why Serbia is so poor and backwards while your neighbors are doing much better and much more respected in this world. Tough pill to swallow. Your destiny is in your decision you make regarding Kosova!

EU dude, Serbia is not funding WHATFOR & UXLESS. Do you think that Serbia would be able to join this year or something???
It will be at least 5 years before it would be possible. And it is doubtful Serbia will be funding anything for quite some time, it will be one of the charities for a while. EU is not looking at Serbia as some economic savior and if you think it is, you are out of touch with reality.

EU Dude

The EU will turn on the Kosovo albanians too one day. Even the mighty Germans. Believing that you have life long friends is the same stupid mistake the Serbs keep on making. There is no way Pristina is going to be brought to Brussels by not doing what they are told. They'll be left to fight with Tirana (as both are already complaining about who benefits the most from trade between the two*) and the only leverage that will remain is the threat of starting another war, in FYROM for example.

What I forgot to mention earlier about the SAA, parts of it are actually in effect unofficially, but as long as it is not signed, sealed and stamped by all 27 ms, thes parts can also be unofficially withdraw. What that would mean for foreign businesses (german for example) who have already invested in Serbia and claim that they can double their business in this current economic crisis would not be good at all for anyone.

It is strategically stupid to compromise when the EU structures and other member states who are much more Serbia friendly are at their political weakest vis-a-vis Germany in these current times? Serbia is not funding WHATFOR & UXLESS. Keep Germany paying. Their companies already make hansome profits from Serbia and should not be immune from Berlin's threats against Serbia. Germany also has something to loose, which may be economically small, but with elections coming up soon...

Well if we are picky on language, the EU has no new conditions but each individual state does. Germany has some , England has some, France has some and so on. Ultimately it is each individual state that will decide. So let's be honest for once. If Serbia wants to go into the EU it has to go in without Kosovo. The EU states probably don't care to much what Serbia will look like when it enters the EU however these same EU will never allow an area with a significantly large Muslim population to enter the EU. We see this with Turkey. Ultimately this is the true reason for all this mess.

The Fourth Reich are doing their best to steal Kosovo and award it to their organ snatching allies. We need DSS in government, they seem to be the only ones capable of defending Serbia and Serbian interests. As for Stefanovic and the DS yellow traitors, they should be handcuffed and tried for treason. If they did indeed agree to some of these conditions, they are clearly guilty of treason and do not respect Serbia's constitution.
As for Dacic, he's just another lying blowhard who will say anything to get elected, and then do something completely different (such as clinking glasses with EU reps to celebrate Mladic's capture). The Serbian parliament is full of traitors, fifth columnists, and corrupt EU loving wankers. The Serbian people need to wake up and clean this garbage.

EU Dude

Germany wants Serbia to accept the full ethnic cleansing of all non-albanians from Kosovo. That is THE condition. There is no right of return and the EU isn't bothered about it.

The best thing Belgrade can do is taking a very long pause, i.e. not implementing anything more once Luthuania ratifies the SAA. If at that point the EU then suspends the agreement, because the are 'the law', then it is clear that they don't want Serbia in the EU. Serbia should carry on reforms regardless. As for Kosovo, the plight of non-albanians should be highlighted daily and brought up in every 'international fora to show how the EU openly ignores human rights, dicrmination and intimidation of minorities and does not support the Rule of Law etc.

This is what I have been saying all along. The conditions are not new and certain EU members are pushing through their own agenda. They don't want Dacic in the next government and an SNS/DS government would suit their agenda.

What actually happens is another story. If history repeats then Germany will once again destroy its chance to control Europe mainly through greed and ego.

a New Day

pre 11 godina

These are all things that have been discussed for years. It is nothing new, it is "requests" that have been made by individual or groups of leaders of the EU. They have not been secrets. Serbia has known from day one that the final admission comes it has to appease all 27 members. That is what is so crazy, every Serb is quick to say Kosovo will not get into the EU because 5 countries do not recognize it but seem to be totally oblivious and cry foul when it is mentioned that 22 do and are not going to admit Serbia with claims on Kosovo. Want to stop, do it but that is the odds you are up against, they have not changed.
It is like in the UNSC some members refer to Kosovo as a state some refer to Kosovo as a Serbian province, but as a body they are status neutral.
No one country can make demands in the name of the EU nor any group of countries it has to be a unanimous decision. But when it comes time for voting each country has their choice yes or no.
Similar to the SAA, the capture of Mladic was not a EU requirement but was a requirement for the Dutch but it took all 27 votes to pass so you had to appease the Dutch before it could happen.
