a New Day,
if you stuff up like this in a trial, there is a purpose. Maybe you should educate us as to what that may be, as a barrister you should know all then answers

From your post I doubt that I will be able to educate you on anything, as I have no idea what stuff up means.
But 95% of the delays in Seselj's, and Milosevic's trial were due to defense requests or "illnesses" of the accused, but yet so many here cry that the court should free Seselj because it has taken too long to try him. The same will also be making the same claim for Mladic.

"The defense asked that the presentation of evidence and witness hearing should be postponed for six months, with an explanation that the team was not granted timely access to a many documents, including some which are essential to the trial."

The usual delays - a method proven to work well in the Milosevic case. What can we conclude: Mladic's health must be even worse than officially know ;-)

Notice as in the other main trials, the delays are at the request of the defense. Of course it will not stop the ultranationlists from coming back and saying what disgrace that the trial is taking this long. But then what other defense is there?
