Also, jeremic won't be able to do all that much. His position does not have a big influence
(EU, 14 June 2012 15:20)

If Jeremic's position 'does not give him much influence'...
(Ari Gold, 14 June 2012 17:57)

I'd agree with Ari here.... Vuk's position at the UNGA may become very interesting since he may become the first UNGA president to welcome the Kosovo delegation as an observer to the UNGA Hall and preside over the GA meetings where Kosovo's rep may address the GA :) I takes only a majority vote of the UNGA - hopefully for Vuk Kosovo does not apply for observer status during his presidency...

Unbelievable that these agreements leave room for 'interpretations' instead of clearly stating what has to be done.

On the other hand, what about all the fuzz. As long as the * is placed nicely behind 'Kosovo', everybody can recognize that Kosovo is not a equal party amongst the other participants, which reflects the reality.
(Comm. Parrisson, 14 June 2012 11:28)
I agree that it would seem that there would not be room for interpretation but that would be impossible. Afterall 1244 clearly states that one of the mandates of the international presence in Kosovo is to outline a process for the determination of the final status of Kosovo, but yet Serbs claim that 1244 guarantees that Kosovo will forever be a part of Serbia.
As far as the * that too is a misrepresentation. You claim it means that Kosovo is not an equal, however, the footnote implies a status neutral approach which means that each individual state can interpret for themselves the level of Kosovo.
This is another example Status neutral means that Kosovo is not referred to as independent NOR a province of Serbia, but Serbs translate that to mean that Kosovo is still a province.

"If Jeremic's position 'does not give him much influence' then answer this, why did Russia go out of their way to MAKE SURE the Lithuanian rep. did not get voted in?? "

Payback time - this same Lithuanian representative said in a speech on the end of WWII that the end of Nazi oppression in Lithuania merely ushered in the beginning of Soviet Communism in his country. The Russians were not pleased, to say the very least.

You seriously live in a fantasy world. Kosovo is a done deal, Serbia needs to worry about its internal problems. Strengthen your economy. Kosovo is not your problem. Also, jeremic won't be able to do all that much. His position does not have a big influence, all Kosovo has to do is show the world Serbian crimes... That will give them another 20 recognitions. Serbs stop flattering yourselves, its really amusing.

If Jeremic's position 'does not give him much influence' then answer this, why did Russia go out of their way to MAKE SURE the Lithuanian rep. did not get voted in?? Likewise, why did the USA and Germany (although failed) lobby aggressively for the Lithuanian rep instead of Jeremic? Why was the Lithuanian rep so pissed after not being able to head the UN that he accused Russia of trickery and mentioned most of Serbia's neighbors did not vote for Serbia? (although that's fine most are weaker and hostile+ without western support would be crushed in a day)

Clearly this was a big deal.

If it helps you sleep better at night, then fine its a 'done deal'. But if we aren't going anywhere and we'll be ready when the foreigners leave.

I promise we wont extract your organs or rape your daughter.

Serbia's heart does not belong with the EU. As it has a long storied pass with the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). Which brings me to a joke. "A Serbian customs officer dies and ends up outside the Gates of Heaven. St Peter mulls the options: “You were appallingly corrupt and dishonest, but you did love your family and support some good causes – should I let you into Heaven, or send you to Hell?” The customs officer gives a quick reply back: “If it’s OK with you, I’ll stay on the border.” Serbia should become with Switzerland of the Balkans! Good luck to Nikolic!!

“I do not expect that the EU members who have not recognized Kosovo will change their attitudes in the foreseeable future,” stressed the EU facilitator.

Awesome. Also, Jeremic at the UN will be able to do some lobbying for Serbia's position not at the expense of the Serbian taxpayer but at the UN forum. And, Serbia heads the OSCE chair in 2014.

Expect the Albanians quest for recognition of temporary occupation to get even harder than it has now.

Even Hiliary said only 89, not 91 recognize the temporary occupation.

By the end of all that, the EU will be completely disintegrated, the USA will lose interest and it would be ripe for Serbia to reclaim its borders.

It is not misinterpretation. It’s old Serbian strategy sign agreements but never implement them, and never fully. Read lie to get the candidate status and then who cares what you have signed if never will be implemented.
