Sir Shaw once said, "to steal a piece of bread, you go to jail; to steal a piece of railway, you go to parliament"

American robs; Chinese steals, don't be shy.....

One correction for someone's comment, it's Russia rejected Japan's investment offer for the returning of the northern islands, not vice versa.

"It's time for both Russia and China to intensify their partnership. Their border disputes have been long resolved so what is stopping them?
Zoran"

China has soldiers and artillery at the border pointing to Russia.
Do you think Russia is felling confident and secure?
My guess is not.
Wait and you shall see Russia cozy up to the West.

They don't trust each other. China has been stealing everyone's IP, Russia's included. They sold them 200 Su-27s and then the chinese made their own copy, the J-11B. If you follow the vignettes, there's barely a week goes by without another chinese national trying to smuggle parts or secrets.

They have though both worked hard to resolve their border disputes and increase non-miltary/energy trade.

The enemy of my enemy is my friend... The americans would say 'Trust, but verify', LOL!

Atimes.com is a good site, but has an indian bent. It is significantly better than the limp wristed rubbish published by western MSM.

From Russia with Love? The EU has serious and increasing competition from asia, but still can't even figure out what to do with the euro and has member states selectively introducing border controls and checks in defiance of Schengen, the most significant policy success of the EU project. Just like Japan's rejection of Russia's offer in the 1990s of two Sakhalin islands in return for investment, the 'EU' failure to improve relations with Russia for the last decade (thanks to some help of overzealous US allies), is a lost opportunity, affording Russia to push more strongly for its terms. The EU's priority seems to be Syria, rather than trade... Hopeless.
