You obviously don't know your history. Serbia has been independent over a thousand years ago. The period before WWI Serbia had a flourishing and growing economy. Yugoslavia was actually Serbia's biggest mistake, and brought her down, because Serbs tried to appease all others in the union at the expense of themselves - and instead of thanks all they received is a knife in the back.

Serbia was independent for a while during the Middle Ages, and for about 40 years after the Congress of Berlin in 1878, but for the most part it has been just as subjugated by foreign powers as any other part of Yugoslavia.
If one were to list all of the attributes that make a nation: ethnicity, language, culture, traditions, political structures, shared geopolitical interests and religion, etc, Serbs and Croats in separation would each barely be able to claim one of them. Even the last one, religion, is only a matter of different denominations within the same religion, with the exception of a Muslim minority that most Western nations have anyway.
As an example, when the English first came to Britain from North Western Europe they consisted of several tribes and, once settled, they formed separate kingdoms on that basis. It took another 400 to 500 years before they finally and permanently united and they have remained that way for over a millennium since then. I’m talking about the English, and not the British, so don’t cite possible Scottish independence against me.
500 years is far more than the time in which the Yugoslav ideal has existed, and I believe it is merely lying dormant until the time when Serbs and Croats finally realise that their mutual hatred has been artificially manufactured for everyone's benefit except their own.
As for Croatia, well they have never, ever, been independent. And I don't expect they ever will be. Today they are nothing more than a German vassal, like they've always been.

All Balkan countries are under influence of some stronger Germany, US, Russia nothing worong just the way world works.
On my opinion about Balkans I will say as in another article referendum in areas of dispute like in Quebec where only citizens living there got to vote.
Your 'eye for an eye' philosophy has rendered you blind! While you racist remarks about who is genetically smarter do not deserve a comment. I am not taking sides, but just trying to make some sense in a forum where there is a lot of cursing and little civilized debate.
Let me share with you an anecdote: "God offers a Balkan guy to grant him any wish he desired, but also grant his enemy double that wish. The Balkan's reply was: 'make me blind from one eye'!" So sad! So un-Christian!
The future of Serbia is not bright with this kind of president.
The very first step, to convince the others (non serbs) that he is right person for Serbija...is to recognise independence of Kosovo. Otherwise, the future of Serbia will be same as i'ts past. I am talking about Milosevics regime.

As long as we don't recognize Kosovo's fake independence, we will be just fine. If those people want to live outside of Serbia, let them flee to Albania. Nobody is stopping them.

I do nt know what you are talking about As I do not see you in Kosovo where 95% speak Albanian. But ok keep t your history your mind you can also write it on ice.

How would a Serbian recognition of Kosovo help Serbia move forward? Serbia is doing well even after not having recognized Kosovo, it is Kosovo which is not doing good at all due to Serbias refusal to recognize it as independent.

For hunting civilians no one does it better than Serbs you did it Bosnia you did it in Kosovo. I been to Russia many times but I dont see you in Kosovo. Complex I do not have just stating the obviousness you are not here even your prists now starting to apply for Kosovo passport and your beloved church in Gjakova is empty no one cares about it but its empty.

Sure, they will say mother Teresa, but even she chose not to be buried in Albania and she was born in Macedonia so perhaps something over there has had a good influence on her and she was a Christian.
