“Decision on plates represents abuse of agreement”

The announcement that vehicles without Kosovo license plates will be seized represents an abuse of the agreement reached in Brussels, Borislav Stefanović says.

"“We will continue to issue Serbian documents and we will this way prevent any violence and snatching by the Priština temporary institutions,” he stressed"

By all means, go ahead... Nobody in Kosovo is going to tell Serbia what to do or not do in Serbia. The point is that license plates not issued by UNMIK or Government of Kosovo as delegated by UNMIK will not be allowed in Kosovo as long as 1244 is in force. Serbia, of course, can do whatever it wants in Serbia.

This just in!

Kosovo declared independence, behaves accordingly.

Serbia doesn't recognize that independence, behaves accordingly.

“The Republic of Serbia will never stop issuing Serbian license plates and Serbian documents and this is not and it never will be a part of the agreement with Priština,”

And Kosova will never accept and alow Serbian documents refering to Kosova to be valid in her territory and will consider them illegal and this never will be a part of the agreement with Belgrade.

Agreed???

if you can be arrogant so can the other side.

Stefanović stressed that “things that have been happening in Kosovo in the last several days are a consequences of the unilateral and violent act of the Priština authorities”.

“This is their act of violence and this way they are trying to prevent the citizens from entering the territory of Kosovo and Metohija with license plates that have prefixes of the Serbian municipalities in Kosovo and Metohija,” he said.

“We will continue to issue Serbian documents and we will this way prevent any violence and snatching by the Priština temporary institutions,” he stressed.

While these may be possible uses of the word "violence," it is certainly not the commonly used and understood version. When people talk of violence, they typically mean something that causes bodily injury or physical destruction of property. Perhaps Serbia is throwing around this term so much because they are frustrated that the Kosovo government is not taking the bait and resorting to violence.

I think that everyone in the Kosovo government realizes that if anyone makes any violent moves (real violence) in this situation, it is to their own detriment. Just look at how well it has worked out for Serbia...

"(...) both parties will do everything they can to make sure that citizens living in Kosovo and Metohija can use either KS (Kosovo) or RKS (Republic of Kosovo) plates,” he said.

KS plates = UNMIK
RKS plates = GoK

The agreement, as explained by your own words, mentions nothing about Serbian plates. What's the problem?

“There are no deals or secret parts of the agreement and what is certain is that it says in the Agreement on Freedom of Movement that both parties will do everything they can to make sure that citizens living in Kosovo and Metohija can use either KS (Kosovo) or RKS (Republic of Kosovo) plates,” he said.

I agree with this part of the text, but what does the rest of text has to do with the above?
Stefanovic is a big liar and he should speak the truth. Ops, I think he is out of the job already.
