All I can say is, I am not surprised at all. But this is also true of all the Balkan countries, not just Montenegro.

If Montenegro had stayed in the same Country as Serbia, then I think there would have been enough Voters to make Kosovo Independent, and what the Montenegrins need to do is to Vote for Honest Politicians.

I would not worry about joining up with Montenegro until Kosovo is secure, and I think the West may realize this, and Deceive the Serbs to accept Montenegro, and they want to deceive Montenegrins with the go back with Serbia, because the European Union does not want Montenegro.

Of Course the West did not see it this way all those years ago, because they thought that an Independent Montenegro would have provided the Momentum for an independent Kosovo.

If Montenegro joins Serbia too quickly, then Economic hardship may be imposed on both Montenegro and Serbia, and perhaps President Tomislav Nikolic is a Western Puppet who knows this, or perhaps he is just a Sentimentalist who can be easily Deceived and Manipulated, because he is thinking with his emotions, and not his head.

If Montenegro needs Money, then they can join the Russian Federation, and I think they should do that even if they were prospering, because I think that the Entire Balkans should join as Autonomous States of the Russian Federation.

It is remarkable that people with your mentality still exist. Are you oblivious to the fact that the Serbian Dinar is hitting new lows almost every day? What does this tell you? Has Russia ever helped any country improve its economic strength and gain prosperity? I don't think so, and do you know why? It's very simple, an economically strong Balkans would be competition for Russia. This is not something Russia wants for the Balkans, Putin wants to have his foot on the throat of Balkan countries so he can manipulate them to Russia's advantage. It is the only way Russia can appear powerful. He cares nothing for Serbia or any other Balkan country.

A lot of the mafia in Serbia are Montenegrins. Serbia is the main "hunting grounds" of the Montenegrin mafia. Reports talking about Serbian mafia and gangsters are often blaming Serbs for people who actually came over from Montenegro. Serbia has always done a poor job about defending itself from these people and it seems it lets to many stay and continue to do damages.

It's no secret that Milo was in bed with gangsters, but he did his country a lot of good. The main task was to remove Montenegro from the Serbian orbit and bring it closer to western Europe, which went against everything in Montenegrin history. Otherwise the place would have been badly clobbered by NATO, and still be poor and isolated.

I've read about the "Zemun mafia" Serbia is obviously as inequitable as anywhere else. Montenegro seems to be making sincere efforts to embrace its ethnic minorities, that counterbalances many faults.
