I believe this is Serbia's last opportunity to be a free country, and not an EU lapdog, once again, this strictly depends on Putin's vision of Serbia. The Russians missed their chance when they relinguished the Kosovo airport in 1999, that was a pivotal point. If they do not act now, Serbia will be dominated by the US which means it will eventually be desintigrated, as that is America's vision for us. Personally, I would've preferred Kostunica or the Radicals at the helm, but let's give Nikolic a chance. Here's an opportunity to make Serbia an energy centre in Europe (Southern Stream), here's an opportunity to install a few Russian bases including nuclear weapons (to counter Nato's anti-missle construction in Poland) and finally, to the dismay of the Albanians who frequent this forum, here's an opportunity to take Kososvo back. Yes, it can happen!! but only if Putin wants. It's all in your hands Mr. Putin. BTW, a DSS team will also be going to Russia at the same time. I wonder what that means.

Russians didn't get the enforcement because Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania didn't allow Russia to use their airspace. Lately Romania agreed to it if I am not mistaken, but Russia still didn't send reenforcement (additional troops).

I think Russia could have used those countries' airspace without permission.

First of all, do not mistake that anybody from the powerful countries really cares for the interests of Serbs and Serbia. Russia has its imperialistic ambitions, and Serbia is just the place of the map they can use it on the Balkans, once Bulgaria is not anymore the best alley of Russians. FYI during communism era Bulgaria was closest to Soviet Union not Yugoslavia. About EU - there is no other alternative in Europe and this is the guarantee for Democracy in Serbia. About Muppet - Nikolic can choose between Russia or EU and be just a Muppet because of the fact that Serbia is too weak and to poor to change at that moment anything. Serbs have to work hard is question of time to influence again on European policy.
