you know what, let us even say that bit true, ALL Albanians will resettle elsewhere, every last one of them, the poverty of Kosova remains, because remember, according to you, it has ZERO value. so what exactly is the point for Serbia to take over a place that will result in nothing but financial loss after financial loss after financial loss. the world is all about money...right? you get rid of those Albanians, you still left having to feed those Serbs who dwell in Kosova, because they will be as poor as the Albanians. seriously, your logic (though I use the word logic ironically) is twisted

i forgot to reply to your Serbia does not have the cash...so what exactly is the problem? if the EU (infinitely more powerful, more wealthy, much more appealing to the ordinary person) does not have the money to rule over Kosova then I needn't worry Serbia at all, becasue you see, if Kosova is one dollar too much for the EU, then it sure as is 0.00000000001 cent too much for Belgrade

SJ,
Good thing that after the EU and USA run out of money (which apparently is the most important thing in the world after all), Serbia will be there to step in and save the day for Kosovo...

Oh wait, what did I just read elsewhere on B92...?

"So far in 2012, Serbian currency was its highest level against the euro January 11 with the exchange rate at RSD 103.6922.

The dinar is 2.6 percent weaker compared to last month, and 15.7 percent down year-on-year.

On Monday, the indicative dinar-versus-dollar exchange rate was at RSD 89.8597, down 0.7 percent from the day before.

The dinar weakened against the U.S. dollar by 5.8 percent when compared to the level a month ago, and by 23.5 percent if compared to a year ago."

hmmmm... According to this, if the USA and EU are going broke, Serbia is going broke much faster. Imagine how quickly Serbia would implode without the continual inflow of dollars and Euros of international aid...! I hope you are not right that money is everything, or else Serbia is nothing. Yes, Kosovo has a bad economy, but it is at least brimming with young people and potential, and because it is so bad, it will probably only improve. Where will Serbia be 10 or 20 years from now?

sj

pre 11 godina

you know, i am going to for a moment say yes its true, EULEX is scaling down due to lack of cash. now, do you think Serbia has the dosh to take over a hostile territory where the vast majority of those who here would rather take guns? i forget how rich you sometimes think the Empire of Heaven actually is.

also another contradiction, if the world is all about cash, how come Serbia wants Kosova, a land that is perpetually poor apparently?
(Nikolle, 24 May 2012 15:30)

When the EU is signing deals with the Chinese for more loans then they are in trouble. Let me say that no Serbia does not have the dosh as you call it as it is in a bad situation. How will Serbia deal with the Albanians you ask? Easy you don’t provide work and encourage resettlement elsewhere. That is how. But I’m still waiting on that business plan for Kosovo. Ill tell you what the plan is – sitting on their backsides and waiting for money from Brussels and telling people like you that there is “gold in them there hills of Kosovo” you just have to dig it out.

i fear the bible has gone to your head and ruined what few brain cells you had :) i've always wondered actually, why didn't you become a conscientious objector? - I could not, I am a Crusader, and an animist and a cannibal..lol.

As a former cop I know what I am talking about - it is easier to tackle with the people of European, Hindu, Buddhist,Sikh, Zoroastrian backround - that is why Serbs are 1 mln times more humane and acceptable than Martian Illyrian jihadists with their backwarded islamo-fascist ideology. Don`t you agree, mam? since it seems you ve got some Christian blood in your veins, maybe things are not as bad as I expected?

No it’s called no more money. But a little insight into what will happen. The EU will progressively leave and as Kosovo falls into a chaotic mess, and it will as it does not have the resources to be self sustaining, they will ask Serbia on the quiet to take over.
That my little friend is what will happen, but if you see it any different please outline the business plan that will make Pristina a beacon of success in the Balkans – remember that money is everything in this world. If you don’t have it no one is going to sell their assets or work longer to pay for your life style.
But even further you can see the parallels with Iraq and Afghanistan where the west cut and ran or should I quote the US “mission accomplished” just before it ran out of Iraq to the safety of Kuwait.

Progress in Kosovo?

A) EULEX is the last instrument that has any credibility in Kosovo, sic the Kosovo Ombudsman which ceased to be respected by anyone as impartial the moment the albanians took charge. Kosovo will be back to nothing.

B) Kosovo is like Afghanistan, a tribal country where blood feuds reign, the police are ignored because they can be bought and the locals seek protection and punishment from the local war lord. It is corrupt from top to bottom and is economically unsustainable without free funds from Europe and the gulf states. Europe and the US won't put up with this much longer.

Kosovo does have a bright future in exports: Albanians who can't bare to stay (like those who fled Hoxa). The party is over and no amount of dreaming is ever going to make it european. You did it to yourselves.

You mean the mentioned 'progress' Kosovo made? Well, the quarterly UN reports speak another language. Do you really believe there is a progress worth to mention when it comes to Kosovo? I don't see that, sorry. Of course EULEX won't admit that their mission was 'not so successful', that Kosovo is still full of mafia, corruption, organized crime, that crimes still get unpunished, that Kosovo is a places even alleged criminals from neighboring countries escape to, ...

"yes...because Kosova really is like Afghanistan..."
(Nikolle, 23 May 2012 21:28)

There are some similarities: Both countries depend on drug money and donations, have local clan structures that think they are above the law and which control certain regions, both have a weak government created by manipulated elections. Fortunately, the suicide bombers and attacks on KFOR troops don't exist in Kosovo (yet) - though there are some 'self determiners' who vandalize and destroy EULEX property, and there has been a Kosovo Albanian who killed several US soldiers in Germany.

Less EULEX police? That's good news for Pristina (and all the criminals in Kosovo). Maybe the 'business' situation in Kosovo will further improve and Kosovo will not only be Europe's main drug hub, but achieve to reach that extremly honorable position on a worldwide level?

Joking aside, NATO forces will leave Afganistan, too. After years of trying in vain, people realize that it's impossible to establish some minimal structures of law and justice in those places.

That would be progress in burning down returnees houses and a continued free hand to do nothing about extremists to continue to target non-albanians who seek to cleanse the remaining few with the KPS as ever always turning up late and never finding anyone responsible.

There's a great future in Kosova selling bananas at some point in the future.

also another contradiction, if the world is all about cash, how come Serbia wants Kosova, a land that is perpetually poor apparently?

When the EU is signing deals with the Chinese for more loans then they are in trouble. Let me say that no Serbia does not have the dosh as you call it as it is in a bad situation. How will Serbia deal with the Albanians you ask? Easy you don’t provide work and encourage resettlement elsewhere. That is how. But I’m still waiting on that business plan for Kosovo. Ill tell you what the plan is – sitting on their backsides and waiting for money from Brussels and telling people like you that there is “gold in them there hills of Kosovo” you just have to dig it out.

I thought serbs would be pleased to hear the good news ("occupiers leaving Kosovo") so they could come and "liberate our land".

Maybe tadic would come over here to 'make it rain' and throw wads of dinars around like its just paper --- wait, at 116 rsd/EUR it basically is just that.

Sincerely,

it eats you up inside doesn't it that the EU recognizes Kosova's progress. its OK, you still have Julia Gorin to tell you how horrid Albanians are :)

But even further you can see the parallels with Iraq and Afghanistan where the west cut and ran or should I quote the US “mission accomplished” just before it ran out of Iraq to the safety of Kuwait.

i fear the bible has gone to your head and ruined what few brain cells you had :) i've always wondered actually, why didn't you become a conscientious objector? - I could not, I am a Crusader, and an animist and a cannibal..lol.

As a former cop I know what I am talking about - it is easier to tackle with the people of European, Hindu, Buddhist,Sikh, Zoroastrian backround - that is why Serbs are 1 mln times more humane and acceptable than Martian Illyrian jihadists with their backwarded islamo-fascist ideology. Don`t you agree, mam? since it seems you ve got some Christian blood in your veins, maybe things are not as bad as I expected?
Glass of Skandebeg - I basically do not consume alcohol, least brandy but thanx anyway...

it would have spared you the feeling of having betrayed your Christian brothers. not to worry, you can come back for a glass of Skenderbeg anytime. its down to KFOR we have our state

SJ,
Good thing that after the EU and USA run out of money (which apparently is the most important thing in the world after all), Serbia will be there to step in and save the day for Kosovo...

Where will Serbia be 10 or 20 years from now?

you know what, let us even say that bit true, ALL Albanians will resettle elsewhere, every last one of them, the poverty of Kosova remains, because remember, according to you, it has ZERO value. so what exactly is the point for Serbia to take over a place that will result in nothing but financial loss after financial loss after financial loss. the world is all about money...right? you get rid of those Albanians, you still left having to feed those Serbs who dwell in Kosova, because they will be as poor as the Albanians. seriously, your logic (though I use the word logic ironically) is twisted

i forgot to reply to your Serbia does not have the cash...so what exactly is the problem? if the EU (infinitely more powerful, more wealthy, much more appealing to the ordinary person) does not have the money to rule over Kosova then I needn't worry Serbia at all, becasue you see, if Kosova is one dollar too much for the EU, then it sure as is 0.00000000001 cent too much for Belgrade
