There seems to be a lot of ill will towards Tadic on this site but, until now, he has ruled himself out of becoming Prime Minister, albeit probably not for the same reasons as those posting comments on B92. Clearly if he backtracks then the picture changes. Unlike Vladimir over in Russia Boris seems to acknowledge that his time is up and, having led Serbia down the path towards EU membership (some say "good" some say "bad"), he is set to leave the stage. I wonder how people will feel about him after four years of Nikolic? Only time will tell.

Tadic is the man of the past. It would be ridicules for him to be the prime minister after losing presidential elections. The people of Serbia have said what they think of him and his rule.

Tadic's party "lost" by a very small margin, 73 seats to 67 on May 6, then Tadic lost by 2 percentage points on May 20. It's pretty obvious the strongest and most representative government would be a DS/SNS coalition. Making the 3rd place finisher the "kingmaker" only makes a weak coalition and will lead to upset constituents and lead to more partisanship. In some ways this system is better than the US's, I wish our political parties worked together more, too much political BS, not enough of the people's work getting done

Let's say something like this "Why Tadic wouldn't be best Prime Minister?"
1. Democrats lost 1 million votes between last and this elections. You figure it out why.
2. He doesn't have any experience leading actual Government only attending at the receptions hosted by foreign governments. One example: everyday there's some protest in front of Government building...What do you think he would do about that? Walking among protesters and look good...C'mon...
3. He lost...Let's face that...He lost...Imagine you are an actor who didn't pass through audition and want to play leading role in a movie...

I really don't have time to write every single reason for this topic but I'll leave it up to you to write the rest...

OK, there are three options.

1. SNS/DS
2. SNS/DSS/SPS
3. DS/SPS/URS

Since the EU doesn't want Dacic or Kostunica, that leaves option 1 only. Lets just go through the motions of negotiations and until we get the predetermined result.
