@(Sveinung Vaardal,
This is absolutely true when you have Russia and China two biggest superpowers and fastest growing economy in the world you don't need bankrupt America or bankrupt European Union.
The situation of the US economy in 2012 GDP 15.1 trillion dollar, deficit 9.5% 1.4 trillion Dollar, dept 104% 15.7 trillion, grow economy only 0.5 to 1.5%,in the next 4 years the US economy will totality collapse with GDP 17.1 trillion, dept 130 to 135% 22trillion and deficit with 20 to 21% 3.5 trillion, official figures published by the U.S government perhaps figures may be higher.
Russian economy today is the 9th with 2.2 trillion dollar with fastest growing economy in the next 8 years Russian economy will be the 4th with 4.4 trillion dollar,Chinese economy today is the second with 8 trillion dollar in 2020 will be the first with 22 trillion dollar,Russia and China are the future US and European Union are the past.

Most albanian politicians are under the impression that they also control northern kosovo and are independent, not mention that both european and american patience is running out with the all words but no action and their unwilliness to stick to any agreement.

While I don't go out of the way to defend the Serbian politicians, your analysis is flawed. For one thing the results are very very close and wiht just a few more voters could have gone either way. You vote on the runoff was way lower than the first which would tend to point to a certain sector of voters chose not to participate for one reason or another.
The fraud allegations could have been enough to cause those voters who were luke warm support for Tadic to just not be excited enough to show up.
However, no matter how many steps are taken to prevent tampering with the numbers, it is almost impossible to keep it from happening.
I would tend to lean toward fraud coming from the NIkolic camp personally.
A few phony ballots held up and accusations of fraud are sometimes enough to tip the scales on a close vote.

"The poor, uneducated, and ill-informed, made Nikolic their new president."

Later you say "Do you not understand, that an uneducated, political hack, will give a picture to the world of who the Serbian people are? No, Serbs are better than a Toma Nikolic."

No. They are not. Not today. As you can see majority in Serbia today is "poor, uneducated, and ill-informed."

Solution? Government should have work harder to make people better informed, more educated and wealthier. They failed to do that and now it's someone else's fault.

You mention economic crisis. They were often blaming global economic crisis for troubles in Serbia. Things beyond government's control.
But, those things were beyond control of other governments as well, but measures that they've taken gave better results.
Global crisis is hitting the region, not only Serbia. Why are we dead last in the region, in all indicators in virtually every area?

We should assume that global crisis somehow missed Macedonia or Albania?

Besides, global economic crisis started in 2008. These guys BORROWED twice as much money since 2000 then communists did in 55 years (1945-2000).

Reds managed to make impressive network of roads and railroads with that money. To open hospitals all over country. Build power plants and hydro dams like Djerdap.
Yellows burdened future generations with much more debt then reds and manage to build what with that money?
One bridge in Belgrade? That's it?

Congratulations with a good election, Serbia!
I hope this means you don't enter the corrupt and bancrupt EU.
Russia is creating a new and stronger union. Russia's economy is growing, while the EU is bancrupt and the US is way beyond bancrupt. In a time of crisis, where do you want to turn? To the EU? Or to Russia? In times of war, who do you trust? The EU? Or Russia? Think about it.
Zivela Srbija!

Good move, I would be worried if someone more moderate would have won. slowly nikolic can (and I think he will) move back in the direction of milosevic, and only then the problems in Balkans will be definitely solved. The solution of '99 was not the best, but chances are growing for a real solution.

"MikeC

It really doesn't make a difference. Most of your politicans are still under the illusion that Kosova is a part of Serbia :-), which if true, it makes it rather odd that Serbia would remove K. Albanians from the electoral list.
(Nikolle"

Nikolle, great comment.
I don't think anyone can logically rebutal your post.

Talk about sour grapes! .........

"The conspiracy all these Serb-self-identified Australians hope is true. That it's all a set-up and all Serbs REALLY want Kostunica.

A lot of comments from albanians and most, if not all of them, are pretty angry at Nikolics win. That is a good thing. The day albanians are happy with who is leading Serbia is the day I will begin to worry.

I hope Mr. Nikolic looks to China and Russia more favorably than his predecessor. The EU should not be begged for, they are a collective failure which will crumble when the strong has had enough of the weak!

Economan.

Highest unemployment, lowest average income, declining quality of education, etc. etc. Just few weeks ago new Health Care study was released....

Here is quality of Health Care Index for 2012

We should assume that global crisis somehow missed Macedonia or Albania?

Besides, global economic crisis started in 2008. These guys BORROWED twice as much money since 2000 then communists did in 55 years (1945-2000).

Reds managed to make impressive network of roads and railroads with that money. To open hospitals all over country. Build power plants and hydro dams like Djerdap.
Yellows burdened future generations with much more debt then reds and manage to build what with that money?
One bridge in Belgrade? That's it?

One should think about it.
Presidential election was much more vote AGAINST Tadic, then vote FOR Nikolic.
I can't see why would anyone vote FOR Nikolic anyway...

MikeC not at all this is great for K-Albanins, it was hard to deal with Tadic as he was telling EU I am making concessions now I need something to send home for Radicals so I win. With Radical ( Cetnik) in power its easy.

I just want to see what he says about agreements made in Brussels I hope he says we do not accept them this would be best thing ever. Nikolic do not chicken out please reject all agreements made in Brussels.

Most albanian politicians are under the impression that they also control northern kosovo and are independent, not mention that both european and american patience is running out with the all words but no action and their unwilliness to stick to any agreement.
Thaci only the other day moaned about the EU not giving kosovo an easy ride into the EU because of 'cold' bureaucrats. And all this without even mentioning recent albanian behavior in FYROM.

I can give you a hint to asnwer that question; in the 1999 war, Russia was among those who sponsored a resolution which, according to Serbia, was instrumental to the dismemberment of sovereign European state....
