"As I wrote yesterday Niall it was to be expected that Dacic would do this. He's an excellent careerist and only cares about having the best job in power. Can't blame him really, his mentor taught him well."

Well said...We'll see in next couple of days...Although I think that he will change sides at the last possible moment...

Well, here is my opinion. Serbia is under occupation and as such, it has already been decided that the next government will be SNS/DS (as I mentioned before elections).

Anyone beginning to believe me now or are you still going to insist that I answer irrelevant questions?
(Zoran, 21 May 2012 13:25)

Zoran, that could be another outcome, i.e. Grand Coalition. If that does happen, the Socialists win either way because when the economy tanks (as does the wider European one) the coalition will collapse as will their support causing the Socialists to sweep to victory at the next elections.

Dacic is a winner if he does get into bed with the SNS. If he decides to stay out, he will be even a bigger winner.

As for the next government, any combination is possible now. Dacic was the big winner in these elections. There is no question of that.

You have got to hand it to Dacic, he has rebuilt the SPS after they became a toxic brand post 2000. What he has done is akin to put icing and cream over a piece of horse dung and placed candles on top. It looks nice but it still tastes like s**t.

Put it this way, Dacic is a winner even if he decides to stay out this time around. He can hold on, wait in the wings, bide his time on the Opposition benches, constantly sniping at the heels of Tadic/Nicolic and sweep into power at the next elections. Of course this strategy depends on the economy of Serbia and Europe to tank which it will.

I would not be surprised if he is strongly thinking along these lines.

A crafty little bugger he is.

I wonder what planet you had been living on ? Don’t you know that all the jackals and most of the pigs now live in Pristina ? Even Tadic whom I had never supported is a much more decent man than Haradinai or the Snake. You are strange beings ! On one hand you say that you either don’t care or are happy about the results. But on the other we all can see how scared you are. Serbia is not under any sanctions so I hope Russian aid will start with reinforcing the Serbian Army. It will make you more polite and short tongued.

Boy, that's what I get for agreeing with you. You sound like one of those bitter, old school serb nationalists, that still believe only our Orthodox Russian brothers can bring salvation to Serbia. Well, you are wrong. Russia has had many years to "show their love", but they haven't. Do you honestly thing that Russia, a struggling and corrupt nation, can help Serbia out of its own economic and corruption chaos? As for Pristina, yes, it may be full of criminals, but who cares? It was the likes of Tito, Milosevic, and Nikolic that were instrumental in giving the province to Albanians. Being bitter at the West is only a scapegoat for nationalists like you, but maybe you haven't had enough of the misery the 90's brought to the Balkans, with people like Nikolic in government leadership?

You may be right, Rote, a prime ministership for Dacic, in exchange for forming a government with Nikolic. Like I said earlier, it will be interesting to watch the jackals change their coats, as they posture for cushy positions. But they fool no one, as the saying goes, a pig with lipstick . . . .

Because none of my comments concerning Ivica can meet the demands of B92 moderator I just wonder what this man felt this morning ? Was he only upset or inside him there's something of a human being ? Did he felt disgust when he looked to the mirror this morning ? And what the most despised man should feel ? How is he going to clean the rubber scin on his face before he opens his mouth again ? I would rather see Tadic as PM than this ... Dear Moderator I am sorry ! I didn't mean it ...

Wow, talk about an about-face by Dacic.

This statement certainly throws the cat among the pidgeons.

Is a SNS/SPS/DSS coalition now on the cards?

Nikolić’s victory “makes things more complicated“

For sure more complicated for you - would you have backbone or skin on the face you would resign now.
In the fact, you should resign regardless who wins. That would make things a bit simpler anyway.
