No,offence but just the way you responded to my argument already shows your lack of understanding and logic as a whole

1.)Your anti-gay,fine,but it does not matter if the majority of people are like you,It does not matter if your church is like you,Serbia is a secular democracy (at least on paper) .No religion has the right to take away any ones natural rights.

2.)How can you compare the idea of being gay to a fad?especially when this is just a small minority in question ,I guess your argument is that open homosexuality will be popularised. But you are talking about a small minority in society which has very little overall impact. How would i feel about the scenario you had just described, yeah i would feel bad.

But unfortunatly for your argument there is no way you can compare the idea of being gay to down syndrome. Why? Because down sydrome is a real desease and being gay is just an emotional oreintation.

4.)Gays dont produce higher levels of eostrogen hormones so you argument pretty much falls flat.

4.)You can BS as much as you like, but the fact remains that there is nothing wrong with these people. As I have said before I see more acts of sodomy or misbehavior in your gracious church. In the Serbian Church I heard its also a sin to:

Be Corrupt
Take Bribes
Abbuse children

Yet they, the higher clergy, dont seem to have a problem with that. But then again I guess they dont like to be faced with the truth of their own decadence, they like to turn others into scapegoats and preach right and wrong like the hippocrits they are.

Your anti gay, fine. But as a Serbian I dont believe in the church,I believe in Serbia and its true values:The ideals of progress, democracy and innaliable rights which cannot be taken away from anybody.

This is all about what you said but your answers are insouciant. Depending on what version of Christianity you believe in its going to say different but in the Serbian church ones of the greatest sins is being gay. I am anti-gay and i will stay that way. You have to see that its a disorder and the Serbians do not want there children to think its normal. For example lets say all your kids friends had down syndrome he would start acting like he does to to fit in. Would you like that? Don't say that being gay is not a disorder because it is they produce more hormones then normal making them gay the same way people with down syndrome have only 1 more chromosome #21.

It´s sad that they need safe houses. I agree with Steve B, not to shove it in faces but to do it slowly.

People need to try and put themselves in others´shoes more.. imagine you led that life, how hard and horrible it would be, being scared for your safety all the time, parents disown you, all because you are attracted to the same sex.

It´s really sad. But I also don´t think they need a parade as it´s disrespectful to the majority of Serbia´s populace.

I think they do deserve the same rights.

Plus it just means there are less guys to compete with to get the Serbian beautiful women!

LAZAR D

This whole debate about gays rights in Serbia and in YU is really put in an ubsurd context.Let them marry, let them have the same rights as others. Its no big deal.

There are rights and there are issues.Natural rights are subject to no question. If the majority of society was against giving gypsies the vote in Serbia it should not happen, because no majority or minority has the right to take away rights from anybody.

Issues are things such as economic questions, political decisions or actions subject to concenus which can be changed through elections, plebicites or simple direct democracy.

What are the concerns for many people in terms of gays getting equal rights which i have heard:
1.They will have the right to adopt children-leading to possible acts of sodomy
2.They will threaten "good, traditional, orthodox Serbian" morals
3.They will be a disgrace to society and undermine and display themselves in a sickly fashion.

And here is the answer:

1.)I myself have not heard many cases where same sex couples abused their children.I see that more with that great "Moral" pillar of out society :the church, where there have been a number of cases of children abused by priests.Yet they get away with that because of government links. Now that IS sickening.

2.)Is it moral to bully a minority?

3.)If anyone acts profane or sick in any manner or tries to hurt anyone else they should be apprehended.there are corrupt officials and politicains who steal millions from taxpayers money. There are thugs and hooligan nationalists who beat up anyone who seems to disagree with them. There are priests who abbuse children and just get away with it.But what is the greatest disgrace according to many in our society:the idea of gay rights...

The sooner these right wing loosers get it through their heads that we are not living in the 1200's any more, the sooner people can stop being so focused on this question when its just a simple case.

You dont need to make any special institutions, facilities or laws for gays or heterosexuals. You just need to recognize the law as it rightfully is:A Couple or marriage is a union of two people, does not matter if its same gender or between a man and a woman.

Even i can see this in the context of common sense, and im not even gay.

(Answerer, 18 May 2012 18:51) "

The states cannot have rules in conflict with the U.S. Constitution. Some states have laws outlawing gay marriage, this is true, but they can't outlaw a "lifestyle." You may be thinking of Oklahoma (I think it was) outlawing the imposition of shari'a law in the state.

In any case, the opposition to gay marriage decreases with the declining age of those asked their opinion: the youngest groups see nothing wrong in it. Once the current elderly die off, gay marriage will certainly become legal throughout the country. Maybe sooner, since people who actually know married gay couples tend to lose their prejudice against the idea. I wouldn't bet on shari'a becoming so, though.

It´s all about a handful of sexuals, their foreign sponsors and alleged problems isn´t it?.

Turning a redicolous non-issue to the debate of the year might back fire on the western imposed regime since a majority of Serbs don´t like promiscuous ego-maniacs flashing genitals in parades. Respect that and there will be no problem at all.

This is pretty sad that the safe house has to even be created. It's good that Serbia is trying to improve LGBT rights, but maybe the process needs to happen in baby steps, rather than just pushing it into the everyday lives of those who do not support LGBT.
