Just in time for agriculture exports! Me thinks you'll see more Serbian berries on the tables of Europeans this Spring/Summer...

Dragce,

The real question is will there be anything on the tables of Serbs this Spring/Summer... Unlikely if Tadic is elected, highly unlikely if Nikolic is.

So, what's a Big Mac go for these days (in dinars)? The Economist compares the price of this highly standardized item in countries around the world as a measure of comparative price levels and inflation. The government in Argentina sets the price at which this one item on the McDonald menu must be sold as a way of disguising the country's inflation rate published in an international publication. (The people living there aren't fooled, of course.) So if you find yourself in Buenos Aires on a budget, plan on eating a lot of Big Macs (probably without cheese, but you'll have to check on that once you get there).

I am sure that Nikolic's alliance with Russia will be able to save the mighty dinar, and foreign investors come flocking to bail Serbia out. Darker days are ahead for Serbia, that is the change that Toma is promising.

The bad thing about this is that the Euro is also losing value, still, I don't believe this is necessary a bad thing - depends on how long it goes on for. In this electoral limbo period its expected whilst nobody is 'at the desk'.

ouch...

Now that elections are over, less foreign money is pouring in, plus NBS isn't going to be so interested, nor will it have the capability of spending MILLIONS to prop up the dinar.

Is this the beginning of a free-fall.

Not good for almost anyone.
