I'm really not sure what point you're trying to make, EU.

Germany didn't open it's labour market to late-joiners. I didn't know that.

but the original point stands.

EU citizens can live and work in all of the EU (until recently, excluding Germany (sorry EU dude)).

It's a shame that some Serbs in the diaspora would rather young Serbs not have these opportunities.

They shouldn't hate Serbs, is my message to them.

"All young adults in the EU can go to school, travel and WORK throughout the EU."

Until 16 days ago, your comment was wrong and a sweeping generalization. Why did you also ignore Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, the Baltic states, Hungary and Slovenia but only mention Romania and Bulgaria?

Why don't you just admit it rather than changing your original point to "They wouldn't have opened them at all if they weren't part of the EU."

I guess every Serb would want their Country moulded to the way they want, or they think is best for the Overwhelming Majority of Serbian People.

That is their Democratic Right but that does not make them or me a hypocrite, unless they know they are doing it for hypocritical reasons.

The European Union has probably higher youth unemployment rate with Spain on 50 % youth unemployment.

If only you Albanians had accepted Autonomy years ago, then you could have been in the European Union.

The European Union cannot provide for their own youth, and so they have nothing to offer to others.

They can help themselves and others by not Voting for Tadic, and they should realize that Serbia needs a proper Government if they are to have jobs.

It is the European Union that says that this is a natural pause, and we all know the European union as we know could change to just make it a free trade friendship, and cooperation Union.

No, they can't. I have direct experience with this and clearly you don't. A Pole can get a job in the UK just the same as a UK person. A Serb cannot.

@EU Dude.

Not sure what point you're trying to make. Germany and Austria opened its doors to workers of Romania, and Bulgaria only last year is the article you linked to. What point are you trying to make? They wouldn't have opened them at all if they weren't part of the EU.

"If Brussels followed this process so strictly as it claims, there would be fewer EU member states than there currently are."
(EU Dude, 16 May 2012 16:10)

That's true, the EU learned from mistakes not to allow states as new members who are not prepared for that and didn't do their job to establish minimal standards properly.

Serbia is expected to become the next EU member in 2020 only, after Croatia next year. So this pause of estimated 7 years is natural.

Danilo is only correct if he ignores the last seven years.

On 1 May of this year, German and Austria opened their labour markets to CEECs that joined in 2004 (Der Spiegel):

YAJS is a hypocrite. He wishes for Serbia to be moulded the way he sees fit, but is likely just a diaspora Serb who doesn't even live in the country. So, he will not feel any of the repurcussions or lost opportunities as he is already benefitting them from the country he currently lives in.

Joining the EU should be Serbia's top priority.

Danilo

pre 11 godina

It's too bad, YAJS, that you see fit to curtail the opportunities of young Serbs.

All young adults in the EU can go to school, travel and WORK throughout the EU.

Why do you think it's patriotic to deny young Serbs these same opportunities?

“The fact is that none of the Western Balkan countries have opened the talks yet,”

The fact is that Brussels keeps on adding conditions and delaying the opening of talks because it is a useful source of political pressure in a region they are still trying to mould into compliant euro states. The EU accession process is a farce based on principle but in practice by the interests of certain large member states. If Brussels followed this process so strictly as it claims, there would be fewer EU member states than there currently are.

Serbia has everything that they need from the European Union, and this is enough Free Trade, Free Visas, and the last Country to holdout on the implementation of the SAA Agreement said that they will implement it next month.

The only thing that Serbia and much of Europe needs from the European Union is a Non Nazi EULEX and a Non Nazi KFOR.

Borusewicz, the speaker of the Polish Senate, said in Split on Monday that Croatia accedes to the EU at the very last moment, as it seems that a long pause in the enlargement process will follow.

I hope the citizens of Serbia realize that Tadic was leading them with empty promises. The elections came in the nick of time, otherwise Tadic would of recognized kosovo* for the possibility of eu membership in the distant future.

Now that EU membership is no longer a distraction lets focus on the reintegration of Kosovo i Metohija!!!!
