Simply, the Greeks,Spanish,Portuguese,Italians and Irish have to get their countries back from the corporate fascists if they want to provide a future for themselves and their children.

To put it the other way all the above mentioned nations are fed up with the Dohány street vampire sucking their blood.

That's an interesting opinion, but I think you would have to define what it means to "leave the EU" according to you. Personally, I think that even Norway and Switzerland are firm Members of the EU, although not nominally.
In any case I agree that the EU might not survive in the form we know it today. Reforms are needed, not only in the different Member States, but especially in the EU itself.

There isn't a legal precedent of a country leaving the Eurozone but once this is established then a total breakup would be very much on the cards.Once a country or a number of countries default on their debts I cannot see how they can stay members of the club.Furthermore, what's the attraction?

What we hear daily on the Western news outlets is just scaremongering on the effects of a Greek withdrawal from the eurozone-Greeks will starve, won't have the money to buy basic necessities etc.Nothing of the sort is going to happen and the economy-as in the case of Iceland and Argentina-after the initial shock will bounce back again.Simply, the Greeks,Spanish,Portuguese,Italians and Irish have to get their countries back from the corporate fascists if they want to provide a future for themselves and their children.

So Leonidas, you're secretly (or openly) dreaming that your despised Albanians finish Macedonia? Very interesting... that's what is called a perfect Byzantine attitude... which generally results in a Byzantine failure of such a sick dream :D:D:D

don't think the question of Fyrom joining the EU will ever arise for two reasons. Firstly,a Greek default and exit from the euro and the EU will be followed by Portugal,Spain,Ireland and possibly Italy.Germany will fight for euro's survival because a return to the old mark will push its value high sky and make German products uncompetitive(German labour costs have been stable since the introduction of euro)and but can see them keeping the currency for the Northern EU countries. The new euro club will be a closed club with no new entries allowed. Therefore,Balkan countries expecting to join the EU are living in a dreamland.

Secondly, taking into consideration the recent standoff between Albanians and Fyromians, it's my opinion that this engagement of political convenience will come into an end either peacefully or violently.I think Albanian confidence-after the events in Kosovo-has increased and they will never accept to be ruled especially by a false ethnicity.

to Leonidas. Well, if you leave the Union, we'll take up Republic of Macedonia under its constitutional name :)

Greece is an insult to Bulgaria/Yugoslavia.

Seeing Leonidas, still being around, defending the ancient spirit of Makedonians, and accusing the bad bankers is just so amusing.

There are some who think Greece will be better off outside the eurozone. http://financialsurvivalnetwork.com/2012/05/greece-better-off-in-default-outside-eurozone/

Meanwhile, the eurozone on Monday warned Greece to comply with the conditions agreed as part of its bailout package, or risk leaving the monetary union.

B92

The European banking elites and their puppet politicians are starting getting really worried by the fact that people across Europe are waking up to their scam and their threats and blackmail won't be listened to or tolerated any longer. The EU's austerity measures are nothing more than a relentless sucking of money from the bottom to the top, be they individuals or nations.

I just hope that my compatriots take the brave decision and leave the Eurozone and the clutches of the undemocratic EU,go through the pains of the transitional period, reform their economy starting with public administration and the nationalisation of the banking sector and be able to breath again.

I and few other posters on this site expected the EU project to hit a brick wall ,but I don't feel smug - more sorrow for the millions of people whose lives have been literally devastated by this appalling political vanity project. The EU as we know it is finished and there will be a lot more pain for the people of Europe on the way.
